How do I make a plumbus?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this, but I'm in desperate need of some help with cleaning motor oil stains and also power steering stains from concrete. I am going to be moving within the next week and I would really like to try to get all/most of my deposit back, so I'm hoping to be able to do a good job of cleaning up the stains that my 2 vehicles have left on the concrete out back of my apartment over the last two years. I have already searched Google for ideas and there seem to be some good ones, but I was hoping to get some specific suggestions for both motor oil and power steering fluid. Also, does anyone know if I will likely need or benefit from renting a power washer? Or will I probably just need to use some sort of concrete cleaning solutions and a scrub brush and my garden hose? Any and all helpful replies will be genuinely appreciated! > Pic related: The Power Steering Fluid stains (and debris that has stuck to it while my car was not there) on the concrete where I park my car.

I have this flywheel, which is connected to a motor that I am controlling with a 127 to -127 resolution pwm controller. The flywheel is connected to a quadrature encoder with a 360 step (step?) per revolution resolution. With this, I am able to find the RPM of the flywheel. I need to get this flywheel to a specific speed and hold that speed. While open loop control (setting the pwm to an arbitrary value) is surprisingly good at this, I need to get to the speed faster and hold the speed more accurately. Thus, I wanted to implement a PID loop. While I think I could code a PID loop based on position, I am having difficulties coding a PID loop based on velocity, because once the motors get to the reach, there is no more error and they shut off, which means the flywheel never gets to the target velocity. TL,DR; I need to code a PID loop that affects change in a value, not the value itself. Below is what I have been using as a guide to PID: Kp = ? kI = ? kD = ? threshold = 150 Tp = 30 IntegralErr = lastErr = derivative = 0 prevTime = 0 Loop forever { Lightvalue = getcolorsensorval currErr = Lightvalue – tVal integral = integral + currErr duration = RawTime - prevTime derivative = (currErr – lastErr)/duration lastError = currErr prevTime = RawTime Any help? >QUESTIONS THAT DON'DON'T DESERVE THEIR OWN THREAD Old one reached bump limit, so I'll start a new one beginning with a question of my own. I want to paint my metal exterior (front) door. I have some left over paint and primer in one, interior (probably answers my question right there) acrylic latex paint. After sanding the door a bit, would this adhere to the door, and if so would it hold up alright? Or should I just say fuck it and buy some exterior paint for it?

TV Repair

I guess this is the best place to ask. Of course right after the 3 year possible warranty my TV decides to shit the bed. It's a LG 55LS4500 LED TV (inside looks like the pic). Back light turns on but there is no picture. There is still sound however. I can't see anything on the screen, nor see any TV menus. The little blinky light shows that it is getting remote inputs, and I can blindly change inputs and hear sounds from the different inputs. After doing my own research, I thought I concluded it was a faulty T-con card. I busted open my TV and ordered the same T-con card as mine. It arrived and I swapped them, but the same problems persists. I don't know what else could be the problem. I guess there's a small chance the one I ordered is defective... Is there anything else I can do?

Hey /diy/, /asp/fag here. The local Airsoft field I play at used to have a Counter-Strike style game where a team would have to plant a bomb, but then some moron hucked the thing and broke it. I want to make a new prop bomb, what could I use to set off a buzzer after a set time, say 45 seconds to a minute? Any help is appreciated, thanks. >inb4 "airshitter pls go" or any of that shit

Im making an auxiliary battery for my laptop. I have an extra charger that im willing to chop up I plan on cliping the DC jack from the end of the extra charger and connecting a bunch of rechargable AA batteries to it. In order to make this work, I need a way to regulate the voltage down to exactly 19.4V (the input voltage of the laptop). where do I find a regulator that does that, or how can I make one? Basically, this will not only allow me to have an extra battery, but will also allow me to hot swap the three batteries I already have.

Use stud finder to find roof truss?

Hey all, I'm building a house and have put up the roof trusses, decked them with half-inch plywood, and put tar paper on. Now I'm looking at putting on a metal roof. Can a stud finder be used effectively to find the roof trusses through the metal panel and plywood?

Project ideas?

Any ideas for a project where the device is either useful or fun to play with? I built a small rover and I got bored with using it in less time than it took me to build it! At the end of the day I had a slow remote control car. I was planning to build a little robotic arm based on pic related, but I'm concerned it will be just like my rover - once I built it I won't use it. I want to make something that's more than just a novelty. I have a 3D printer, an Arduino-clone, a Raspberry PI, and a few servos and sensors to work with (and I'm not opposed to getting more parts if needed).
