Desoldering station

So I do quite a but of desoldering work, and I'm sick of hurting my fingers on the crappy little hand suction tubes. The thing is, I don't have the largest budget ever. Can anyone recommend a decent desoldering station for 100-200$? Decent, of course, as in functioning and it won't break after 4 months.

Post your DIY PCBs in this thread This one took 40 minutes to expose, develop and etch and 3 hours to drill and solder. It sucks not having a CNC router.

diy apartment

bought an apartment, it's pic related current wall partitioning is shit because oldfags lived here in 1900 then split the space (~160mt square) into 2 small apartments to rent so I'm going to remove everything and start over obviously there's enough space to do what I want but those columns (which obviously can't be removed) are placed in a way I can't get my head around I'd like to have at least an open space (kitchen+living room) 2 baths, storage room and 3 bedrooms (one with walk in closet) suggestions?

Can anyone help me out with what style of hinge this is using? I haven't had any luck finding the one that will sit flush against the wall when closed but opens away from the wall.

The closet in my 3rd bedroom has 2 single bulb pull-chain light fixtures in it. I want to make this closet my network closet, but it does not have a plug in it. I'd like to replace the 2nd fixture with a plug to power my modem, router, and PoE injector. Is this advisable? If I was planning to plug a 1000 watt heater into this outlet, I'd absolutely run a new circuit, but these few electronics seem low power enough to not be an issue. What are your thoughts? Picture related. It's the bulb.

Need some advice /diy/, and my apologies if this is a stupid question. So I'm building a stand for our new front end loading washing machine. I have the frame built from 2x4s, but now I need to cut the plywood for the sides and top. Problem is, I don't have a table saw. I do have a circular saw, a jig saw, and a hand saw. I need some advice on how best to go about cutting the 4' x 8' plywood into smaller pieces (10" x 28" and 28"x28").

Feasibility of Building a Dome Home

26 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
So I was looking around online at prefab sheds and got sidetracked and found some prefab dome house kits for sale. This one in particular caught my eye: http://econodome.com/ Their kit seems to be really inexpensive for what you're getting and I was wondering if it seems feasible to build one of these at lower cost than a modular or custom built home and by someone who is not a professional.

Started re-doing my bathroom and found this odd layout in the pipe chase. I'm a decent /diy/nosaur but can't figure out the purpose of them. Anyone know by chance?

hey guys, I got my first workspace and I want to build a proper desk and some other stands and stuff for my tools. I plan on buying a whole lot of rough sawn wooden boards for that purops. my question ist , do I really have to seal the wood ? what would happen if I don't ? I never thought about that before. also, what would be the cheapest sealant.

Retail/Wholesale (/biz/ doesn't make stuff)

Any folks build products that they're looking sell? Knitting sweaters, making soap, whittling figurines, etc. Personally I build rustic furniture and cabinetry and sell it locally. I'm somewhere in between lucrative hobby and actual business presently. I get that most people who actually do stuff don't have much time for Chinese cartoon forums, but there's gotta be some folks out there making stuff and looking for bigger markets, and I'd like to hear from them.

Mitsubishi AUX

Hello! I'm a new owner of a used 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I've gone through auto threads about missing AUX harnesses and sadly to say I'm not interested in buying the $50 accesory. I am, however, very interested in hooking up an aux connector of my own and fitting it into a knock-out panel. Can you tell me how I can do this?

Hi /diy/, I got a school assigment and I have to build 3 simple devices using IC74 series. It can't be any of basic circuits(comparator, multiplexor.. etc.). Could you suggest me something fairly easy to make, like transistor tester. Thank you.

Black and Decker Matrix. Will it fly into pieces of shrapnel when used a lot? Do the snap on tool ends work enough for home DIY and random sorties of light work?
