So I've just got a kit with cutting, heating, welding tips, hoses, regulators, etc. My main question is about the tanks themselves, as well as actual welding methods.
>better to buy or rent the tanks?
>what size tanks are good for most average general use, cutting once in awhile and welding once in awhile?
>where to buy or acquire weld rods? I've heard of people using bicycle spokes and other random shit like clothes hangers.
>want to try aluminum as well, apparently need flux and a size 000 tip. True?

Is it possible to achieve a decent paint job using a paintbrush instead of a spray gun?
I'm getting a big van soon so I can start an international part load/removals service.
The van I'm buying is currently off the road because it wouldn't pass inspection due to some rust and bad condition of the paint. Engine, chassis, brakes, lights, springs and everything else is in good condition.
The current owner has already fixed the rust and sprayed everything in zinc phosphate primer and all it needs is the top coat.
He was going to restore it for himself, but now has to sell because of a divorce.
I don't have a compressor or spray gun and other required equipment and really don't want to buy any of it, which is why I am considering using a paintbrush to apply the paint. I don't want to spend a lot of money on paint either.
You guys think this will work? I've never painting anything that big and with as many flat surfaces before.
I don't need a show or factory finish, but the result needs to look presentable at least.
