NEED ADVICE ... so, belkin has a product that you connect your shit that usually stays on (speakers, modem, home stereo etc) to it and when you leave or want to you flip the switch and they are off. Good idea for conserving power in your house. My problem is that this unit works in 110v and my shitty country has current in 220v... any ideas?

My parent left me this house and she hadn't even had her dishwasher hooked up to drain, so I got it hooked up, but there's no disposal. Now this happened. What do?

Rack for tools

Before doing one myself (out of plywood), does anyone know if something like this is commercially available? Something like this = a rack (that probably looks like a bike parking rack) that allows you to store tool cases standing up, side by side making storage and identification easier that just storing them like books on a shelf (for example) or one on top of the other. I know this is a diy board but I'm lazy and I'd prefer to buy one already made Thanks in advance!

Video Monitors

Sup /diy/nosaurs? Any of you familiar with video doorbells? I'm in the market for a decent system after a fiasco regarding some chinese wifi "smart" one that was recommended to me. Now most of the info I find online is either branded or really vague. Is there no good radio based video systems? The idea of app based systems really looks appealing because I can just buy cheap tables and put them all over this house provided I have a good enough wifi signal, the house itself is big and that would be realy handy because many of the areas where one spends time are very far apart, but after such a shitty app that keeps crashing and requires you to set up again I'm concerned of that side of the product.

Sup /diy/ One of the screws holding my glasses together, by the end piece, keeps coming loose. I'm assuming I could use loctite or some other thread-locking product to stop this from happening, but I don't have any on hand, and I kind of doubt I'll be needing it in quantity anytime soon. Plus I'm kind of broke. Any cheap-ass substitutions? Superglue, nail varnish, whatever?

http://www.dailydot.com/debug/robot-seagull-shitting-nivea-sunscreentk/?fb=dd Nivea actually built a seagull robot that craps sunscreen on you at the beach "The big, big problem is kids on beaches don't have enough sunscreen on. They run around and it rubs off. So they developed a [robotic] seagull that flies across the beach and basically shits suntan cream from Nivea." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FwYgyClueQ

Hey /diy/, I bought my first drill press and could use some help, its this one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013UQBXYW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Basically I've gotten it assembled fine but I can't figure out how to mount the drill bits to the piece that holds them or to mount the drill bit holder (sorry don't know correct name) to the drill press. I can see the well I use the included key with the gear on it the clamps within the drill bit holder move slightly inwards but nowhere near enough to hold anything but a massive drill bit. Any help is greatly appreciated. I bought it to mill an 80% lower so pic is semi related

Where to get lagbolts

I need various lengths of lag bolts for building a bridge over a creek. I went to lowes, and they are extremely expensive? And don't seem to actually come in bulk. I need various sizes too. between like 4 inches, all the way up to 10 inches. where's a good place in the southern part of the US that supplies bulk lagbolts that doesn't wanna ass-rape my pocketbook? Figured someone on DIY should know.

So I managed to get my hands on a greenhouse, 8x6 foot, but I need somewhere to put it. Ive got some paving slabs, so I dug out some turf and put in some boards to give me a border. I've marked out my levels and tried to get the ground as even as possible using a fork and a rake. I've got some sharp sand and concrete and now I need asvice on what to do next. Can I get it even enough with basic tools? How do I mix the sharp sand and concrete? Can it be done by hand? Is it a one man job?

CNC 2020B usb controller problem

1 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Hi guys, I just bought a mini CNC router, I want to work on pcb with it. I have one tiny (hehe) problem - I can't drill properly. Everything is fine when I import/open gerber file, it finishes engraving pcb just fine. But when I later try to import/open .dfx or .drill files, dimensions imported were changed, so this feature (drilling holes) is unusable. I have 2020B CNC machine, a small one, 3 axis, and software seller gave me, CNC USB controller. Any tips on fixing dimension errors? Config file would be fine. Actually anything would be fine

What's the best way to secure a hammock like pic related to the inside of a room in my house? It needs to support my weight (160lbs) and my fat girlfriends weight (180lbs). Will large hooks drilled into the wall fuck up my studs or something when we both go in it?
