100hz clock pulse needed

20 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
any electronics people know the best way to a get 100hz clock pulse from 60hz mains? the output of a full wave rectifier should be 120hz, right? so in theory, I should be able to divide that down to 100, but I don't quite know how. I want to take this 100hz and make a clock display that will display the time down to the 1/100th of a second, so: HH:MM:SS:XX, like a stop watch. I plan on feeding this 100hz clock pulse to an arduino as an interrupt to advance the time. google tells me how to get an arduino to generate 100hz, or how easy it is when I'm not in north america.

Sell excess boards.

So I was looking for a way to get an O2 amplifier PCB in Canada, and having the PCBs made from a fabhouse seemed to be the most cost-effective, but not by much. I'm wondering if there are any places in Canada I can sell the other 3-4 boards I don't need.

Unappreciated tools

Would love to hear what people think are tools/equipment that you use a lot that don't get enough love. >carpenter fag here >frame lock up and fix hardly any other carpenters I work with carry around a nail claw. I use this thing daily, handy as fuck, pulling nails, basic leveraging, small and fits in belt easy (smaller than my hammer). It has so many uses I couldn't imagine working without it.

Duct Cleaning. HVAC

0 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Hey guys I dont know much about HVAC and duct cleaning. I been calling around for duct and furnace cleaning and it seems everyone was about 225$ -250$. I found one company that said theyd do it all for 110$. So they end up showing up 1 hour late and tell me it is now 120$. He then inspectd the furnace first and says ''this has never been done before. Id have to use two holes for my hose. One for the main and one for the return. Id also have to use the 'brush' cuz it is so bad. Thats like 400$. NOPE.JPG. "Okay buddy this is what ill do for you. Give me 220$, ill pocket the 100$ and just said i did a standard job to the office. Ill clean everything including the furnace and the air conditioning coil". It sounded tempting but very fishy and underhanded so I cancled but i kepykepylt his info incase that sounds good. Dont want to burn a bridge to full service for cheap. One thing that fucked with me is he said the hose uses 200psi. Now...i work in the water industry and 200psi of water IS ALOT OF FUCKING PRESSURE. ALOT. i said "well wouldnt 200 psi pop some fittings or bend the metal "naw man naw man rhats nothing". Sounds like BS. Anyone got any info on this stuff or advice? Im so lost.

Unapproved plumbing and general nigger rigging thread

All my plumbing has to fit under a door with 5/16" clearance (supply and drainage). This is because I'm incredibly autistic and don't want to leave my room (or maybe just because I like tinkering. The drainage pump I'm using is self-priming and gets decent flow rate with 100psi through a 1/4" tube, but more recently I've been playing around with vacuum canisters which make it simpler to drain the condensation tank from the airconditioner and give the possibility to drain into container to make sure food or other debris doesn't get into the pump.

diy I want to tie 360 LEDs together into 24 strings of 15 LEDs. This is for an open source PAR lighting array. I want to make them dimmable by the string, I have a 24 channel mosfet controller to adjust the voltage of the LED coming from a constant current supply. I am concerned about dimming strings because I want to keep a good balance across the the circuit - what am I missing?

I need to keep a terrarium humid (80%). I have a fogger but I need to keep it automated because I work long hours. The best timer i can find that is programmable by the minute only has three cycles per day but what I really need is something that will turn it on the fogger several times an hour all day. All the countdown timers that I can find have a minimum 1 hour cycle. If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me some ideas for alternative methods of keeping up humidity it would be greatly appreciated.

Since nowadays most kitchens you can buy are mass produced, overpriced and of low quality, would it make sense to build a kitchen by your own? Did anybody here try it?

Should I cut the power when changing outlet plates? I know a lot of people say to do it as a precaution but is there really any good reason why I should dick around with it?
