I need your advice on something. I'm repairing an old tube amp, and I'm replacing a resistor. It's a large power resistor, 8kohm 26 watt, and it dissipates 20 watts of power. It's a "standee" resistor, mounted straight up in the chassis for cooling, but it's not available anymore so the one I have is one of those hollow wirewound resistors. I would like to mount it under the chassis so as to perserve the look of the amplifier, but I'm afraid that it won't get sufficient cooling down there. What does it take to ruin one of these resistors? Do I really need to mount it somewhere where it can be cooled or will it be fine inside the chassis?
The amplifier is an HH scott 222B, the resistor is just like the one I've posted here.

/diy/udes, I need a help. Say I was programming a project with an Arduino. So after prototyping it, I get ready to make it a permanent project. However I won't want to install a thirty dollar Aduion in a device that sorts change. So if I wanted to buy a raw Atmega and build a board to control my project, where can I find a guide to help me with that? I literally just need some basic Ardueno functions, access to four pins, etc. Can you help?
