I've been playing around with some homebuilt UAV's. What is /diy/'s dream quad or hex rotor drone? I want something that has a massive amount of lift power, full sensor package, and ability to be completely customized to my liking. I could use either a kit, or a decent blueprint. Ardu or Rasberry pi, Arm cores, sky is the limit. What say ye?

So, I need to remove some glued wainscoting in a bathroom and I was just wondering what is the best way to do that. I am worried that if I just pull it off it will completely destroy the drywall. Are there and products or tricks I can use to make this go as smooth as possible. Thanks!

Hey /diy/ I have some extra material lying around and been wanting to make one of these purses. Not necessarily as big as the one pictured, but similar in the style, the whole cross-shoulder boho thing. I've seen instructions on how to do it from an old shirt, but I only have yards of material. Anyone have step by steps or patterns to help me out? I have polyester, cotton and interfacing for materials. Any tips, tricks or suggestions are very much appreciated!

Fuck i'm high. This home sewage treatment plant uses minnows to turn raw sewage into minnow chum and de-acidified urine.

Hey, /diy/. I have this problem with units conversion. I'm going to make an arcade stick and I need to cut the holes for those buttons, one diameter measure 30mm and the other one is 24mm. The problem is the stupid imperial system, which is imprecise when converted, so I needed to know how much should the hole saw or flat bits be in inches so that the buttons fit perfectly? I tried googling this but it didn't go very well. Some recommend 1" for the 24mm when 1"=25,4mm, I'm pretty sure it would be loose. Anyone here have experience with this? Thanks!

How realistic would it be for a complete beginner to building anything to be able to craft this canoe: http://www.southernfriedscience.com/?p=4774 It seems easy enough. I've used a circular saw before to build a doghouse, so I'm somewhat familiar with the stuff involved. I live on the Columbia River, and I'd mainly use it to canoe down the river on day trips and whatnot. What do you think?

Hello /diy/ers. I am starting on a small project, building a portable emulator. I am in my planning stage and am trying to find a motherboard for it, as i am a newbie to motherboard stuff and am looking for some help. Firstly, i need something very small form factor, i was looking at mini-itx boards, but most boards i find have VGA inputs, stacked USBs, and stacked HDMI ports. I am looking for something that has nothing but one small usb (Preferably a micro/mini usb port), hdmi, and WiFi/BT. Any recomendations? Also, if i do find one with the VGA and stacked usbs and stuff, is it possible to remove them from the motherboard?

Hey /diy/ I recently got interested in electronics, and wanted to start a project. I'm trying to make an electromagnet, and later on, an electromagnetic pulse generator. So far my setup looks quite like the picture, except that my wire is insulated. The battery is 9V,but i heard that it's the amps that make it stronger. However, I want a strong magnet. How much power would i need for a fairly strong electromagnet and where would i get it?

Hi Everyone, I have to make a UV testing instrument, Basically just to compare pieces of ABS, I was thinking that i'd make a box that : -has a UV light, possibly from a pet store -Stays humid, (sealed box with water) -Gets hot, say 60degC (from UV lamp) and then compare yellowing to a colour chart. Any suggestions?
