Making my own Test Bench!

Long time lurker, blahblahblah.
Recently aqcuired a 7990 + 7970 to mine altcoins and game in trifire with. Problem is, even my largesse Lian-Li PC75 case doesn't allow for exceptional air flow/heat exhaust. At least, not anymore with this setup.
Would simply go watercooling, but need to save up the $500 needed for all the components.
In the meantime, and in the Spirit of /diy/, I will post up my homemade-ish test bench as it comes along. :)
Pieces of the Lian-Li will be used in the project as the case is quite aged now and it makes for a quicker (and arguably better looking) project.
Pic related; it's what I'm modelling it after.

I just moved into my first home barely have any tools. I'd like to start my collection of tools, im a general tinkerer and currently have some screw drivers, some precision screwdrivers, hammer, drill, and circular saw...
What other tools would you recommend i should have and whats in your box that you can live without?

I've been tasked with replacing the weather strips on my door. I replaced the side ones easily enough, but there's nothing on the bottom. If there was ever anything there, it's gone. I can't imagine what kind of strip to put down there. If any of you guys recognize this and could find an example of the appropriate strip, I would greatly appreciate it. I've been to home depot a few times but nothing really looks like it would match this.
There is nothing on the bottom of the door. I'm willing to replace the whole assembly, but it could get messy given my obvious inexperience and ineptitude. I just don't want to take the door off the hinges and install something on it.
Attached is a picture of the bottom door frame... Let me know if the picture's not good enough, you guys are my last step before I have to pay some guy to come fix it

I have no clue how to into electronic components. I'm not going to ask you to try and explain to me what all these different parts (transistors, capacitors, resistors, etc.) do, because I'm sure you have other things to do, I'd just like some good resources for understanding circuitry and how all these different components work, when you need them, etc. So If you know of any good (preferably free) resources for learning about this please share.
