that is the wrong kind of sander. you use an orbital sander after planing and using a belt sander
belt sanders use a thick cloth+epoxy composite belt and self clean the grit.

oh ok i didnt do any planing, i thought maybe sanding would be enough. Looks like i cant even use my MULTI PURPOSE tool for planing. Thats sad

well planing isnt important really. you can just use an 80 grit belt on a belt sander. fear the belt sander though. use it only as directed and never use the always on feature if you get one that has it. even if your finger gets really sore holding the trigger.
