Someone please help, so i looked it up and i think i have what you call Pica, the habit of eating things with no nutritional value, except i mainly chew on paper and ocassionaly eat it. I do this as a substitute to biting my nails and it helps me cope with anxiety or when Im feeling down kinda like when you take drugs or drink alchohal. The thing is I dont know what chewing paper is doing with my body and if I should stop. Sometimes I get the feeling im starting to get brain damage.
Its a shame because I started doing this from frequent trauma.
Therapy is not an option I just need your advice on how I can stop with this bad habit.
