Dr Martens suck

See pic. I have a pair of Dr Martens boots exactly like that shown.
I bought them 6 years ago, and since then, they've mostly just sat and collected dust, but I never threw them out because they do fit and did cost over 100 dollars if I remember correctly.
This has gotta be the worst pair of boots I have ever bought though. The leather is soft, which is good, but the boot itself just has no interior cushion of any sort like a tennis shoe would have. Instead it just flops around on my foot, even though I know its the right size shoe.
I don't want to have to buy thick socks to have to wear with these boots. Does anyone make some kinda interior-cushion-lining that I could put in there so they feel more like tennish shoes instead of just floppy leather boots?
