Clarks DB fit

Boot virgin here. Got some Clarks yesterday, but idk about the fit.
They seem to fit fine lengthwise, but they are a bit snug width wise. Also, when I take a step, the base of the tongue really digs into the top of feet near the base of my toes. Should I return them and get a size larger? Or will they eventually stretch? I'm worried that if I size up they will end up looking like fucking clown shoes.
Also, what kinds of socks are recommended for these?

Im a fist time poster to /fa/ but hair has to do with fashion as far as I know.
I am an 18yr caucasian male. I've got an ok body and great eyes (so I've been told) but I've got fucked up hair.
My hair is brown, thick, and wavy (not bad), but my mom had been cutting my hair for the last 17 years of my life and i guess she fucked it up (i have a few friends in cosmetology) Right now my hair is about 2 1/2 inches long, and just kind of sits on my head. when ever I cut it short i end up looking like a psych ward escapee, and when its long (like it is now) I look like a serial rapist.
What should I do with my hair? I can post more pics, but they'll be just as horrible quality (camera phone is my only option)
tl;dr I need hair help

Hello /fa/. /v/ here
I don't think that I'm terribly fashion retarded, but I've always wondered: how dressy is too dressy for the situation?
When I head over to a friend's house, go out to eat at a cheap mexican place with my family, go see a movie, or go to university?
I usually just wear black, straight-cut jeans and a decent long sleeve shirt or something like picture related to where ever I'm going to, unless it's something more formal like a nice restaurant.
