Sup /fa/, I need some help choosing a winter coat/jacket so, I would like some suggestions. My criteria are basically not overly puffy looking, still pretty warm(warm enough for a NJ/NYC/PA area winter), and somewhere under $150.
I wear mainly Blue light or dark washed jeans, black jeans, or chinos in tan, brown, or gray occasionally. Tops are button ups/oxfords, sweaters, maybe a tee on a lazy day. Clarks DBs in beeswax along with minimalistic sneakers for shoes.
Pic Kind of related.

Let me introduce myself. I am a Mediterraneanfag who recently moved to Sweden. The problem is that winter is approaching, and I am not exactly prepared for the -15ºC temperatures, mounds of rain and snow.
Therefore, I thought I might buy some sturdy, warm boots. These should:
a) Protect my feet from the cold
b) Be made of leather or another waterproof material so my feet don't get wet
c) Have good soles which prevent me from slipping on the ice and embarassing myself.
So far I've looked at these Caterpillar boots. They look fine and everything, but I don't have much experience in buying this kind of stuff. So do you have any tips? Any particular brand I should look for?
