So I just watched Pumping Iron, and holy fuck, I can't believe how incredible Arnold looks, Jesus Christ. I mean, I feel inspired, but at the same time, I now feel like I'm not doing anywhere near enough work at the gym.

I mean, I've been doing that for a while now, but how could I be doing more work? How could I be making as many gains as possible? It's not like not having enough time is a factor for me, I just want to get swole.

Is My Doctor Right or Retarded?

So, I went to my doctor regarding something, and the conversation somehow lead to lifting.
I told my family doctor that I lift, specifically, squats deadlifts etc.
To my suprise, he turned out to be very anti-lifting.
He told me not to do any exercises that put pressure on my spine. Therefore squats were a strict no no.
He said this because in his expereince, those to did put pressure on their spine, ended up popping disks and generally had their backs go out quicker.
I asked even if with proper form it was fine. He seemed adamant.
Is he retarded? Or right?
