does anyone know anything about squatting/deadlifting with scoliosis? I was doing SS real well for a few months, but then I found out from a general doctor that I have scoliosis, and he was saying how bad squats are and how i'm gonna get injured and it scared me out of strength training. now today I finally went to a physical therapist to ask about it. she basically just went 'hurr scoliosis shouldn't have any affect on your life so do whatever you want'. I don't think she knew anything about weight training. There goes a ton of money down the drain for nothing. how can I find out? I guess I could call the other physical therapists in the city and waste a bunch more money on an appointment with them hoping one might know the answer.... what do?

Tell if I'm doing it right /fit/ I'm female btw 19, 121lbs and 5'3" -treadmill for 20minutes set on 5.5 no break -3 sets of 30 sit ups with a 12lb ball -russian twists 3 sets of 65 -3 sets of 30 leg lifts -3 sets of 30 side ways crunches (both sides each) -plank for a whole minute I do this 3 times before I go to lift weights. I use 12lbs or 15lbs. 3 sets of 25 curls and squats. My main focus in my arms and my stomach. I really want to get abs. My legs are really toned plus I bike to the gym which is 3 miles away from my home.

Dear /fit/ i am a former fatass who is now a slightly less fatass (5'10" 240lbs now 165lbs) and i have stalled hard, i eat about 1500cal a day get dat der protein and get regular excersize (1 hour lifting 3 times a week [305dl, 245squat 185 BP 125 OHP and 185 C&J] inb4 e-statting, as well as cardio 2 times a week) I alos hit 17% body fat according to my calipers. but i cant seam to get any lower. should I take a break and eat at Maintenance for a while then go back to it?
