Zinc + other vitamins and minerals

So I've been reading up on zinc after some /fit/izen mentioned it in an acne thread a few days ago and here is quote from a page that I found
"It is necessary for a healthy immune system, and is also of use in fighting skin problems such as acne, boils and sore throats. It is further needed for cell division, and is needed by the tissue of the hair, nails and skin to be in top form. Zinc is further used in the growth and maintenance of muscles.
Children, for normal growth and sexual development also require zinc.
It also seems as if zinc helps to control the oil glands, and is also required for the synthesis of protein and collagen - which is great for wound healing and a healthy skin."
So naturally I rushed down to vitaminshoppe and bought a bottle which was like 5 bucks for 300 capsules.
So far /fit/ has convinced me into taking fish oil pills and vitamin d every day.
So /fit/, what are your thoughts on zinc and what vitamins/minerals do you think are essential to take everyday.

Hey /fit/. You've seem my copy-pasta enough times:
>Elevator out at work
>Walk up three flights to get to office
>FIX THIS SHIT
>Start walking to work
>Go longer and longer distances
>Add more gear to pack
>Doing 2 x 2 miles with 16kg work days
>Start eating better
>Lose fat & weight (Down 10kg so far, long way to go)
>Work out (lol CC) six days a week
>Start taking better care of myself overall
So, I've been re-evaluating the shit I carry with me - both physical stuff and psychological - in my life.
>Donated about half my clothes to a shelter
>Given away 200+ books to the local library for their annual sale
>Throwing away / donating prodigious amounts of accumulated stuff I don't really need
>Find myself with fewer anger management issues
>Re-finding minor pleasantness in life
>Working on overcoming life-long crippling social anxiety
>Moving from mostly beta (letting shit happen to me) to more alpha (making shit happen for me)
>Discovering the simple joy of physical labors
I've even managed to convince my equally overweight wife to start to get on a treadmill a few times a day - everyone's got to start somewhere and it's what she can do.
Thanks, /fit/ - from the FPS to workout routines, for the info threads and diet information, a lot of laughs, the occasional manly tears, and the rage.
