Femanon here. After several years of living in denial I've decided that my current weight isn't particularly sightly and want to trim down a bit. I'm currently hovering at around 190lbs at 5'6. I have read the sticky but find some of the information contentious as it doesn't take into account things like set points and insulin sensitivity. My goal is to shed 20lbs before the end of the year (which would put me within the parameters of a health weight) I would appreciate any advice. I am currently eating at a calorie deficit with weekly refeeds. I lift 3x a week, no cardio.

I'm about 190 pounds at 5'11 (I'd say around 25%-30% BF). Would it be better in the long run to cut now and then start building up a strength base or just build a strength base until next year and cut around March or April? I've been doing brosplits at the gym for the past few months and kinda want to get a bit more serious.

Jason is currently my favourite fitness youtuber. He calls out all the fake nattys and doesn't give a fuck when they're all butthurt and sue him. Please read everything below if you want to help me. BACKGROUND: I'm 18 y/o male, 6 ft tall and 159 lbs heavy. Pic related is me. I'm currently still doing 5x5 stronglifts and have been practicing GOMAD for the last 2 weeks. Went from 150 lbs to 159 lbs. I know that most of it is fat, but it feels good to be heavier. Now the question comes... Should I need to clean bulk or dirty bulk? My TDEE is 2500 calories, to gain weight I need to consume 3000 calories. CLEAN BULK: I've calculated my macros for clean bulk: 450 g of carbs(1800 calories, 60% of total calories) 188 g of protein (750 calories, 25% of total calories) 50 g of fat (450 calories, 15% of total calories) PROS: Now If I do this I understand that my gains will be lean and I will gain 2 lbs in a month at most, but the good point is that those gains will be lean. CONS: Really slow progress, I want to look big before college which starts in 3 months. DIRTY BULK (GOMAD + FOOD) If I look at dirty bulk that I've been practicing, for example GOMAD, there is a total of 2560 calories IN MILK ALONE + the food that I eat regularly everyday. I understand that 49% of calories in milk is fat, 29% is carbs and 21% is protein, because I calculated it, which means that during GOMAD I will also gain body fat. PROS: The good point is that I will gain weight quickly and be heavier which means I will be able to lift heavier weights and progress more quickly. CONS: I will gain bodyfat too, but I'm naturally skinny guy so I will lose it quickly too, no? Thanks for your help.
