You people taking little emergenC packets with orange juice are pathetic. ORANGE JUICE is just sugar. These amounts of vitamin C are far too low to get a significant benefit, or even compare with the amounts of vitamin C normally produced by most mammals under stress.
Most every mammal produces its own vitamin C from its liver. Primates and shit like guinea pigs got a mutation so that they can't. How much does a normally functioning animal liver make? A DOG will produce on the order of 20-40 GRAMS of vitamin C per day. Put it under stress, cut it or some shit, and it can go up as high as 200 grams per day. BIRDS? Make like 5-8 grams/day. Torture those little bitches? 20-40 grams.
Listen, listen folks. You want to avoid a cold? You want to avoid a flu? You need to stop fucking around with these placebo doses of V. You want 10-25 grams ascorbic acid per day. You got the flu? You can go as high as 100 grams per day by mouth. Google "bowel tolerance vitamin C." They did some research and found that the sicker you are, the more C you can take by mouth before getting the runs. If you're really sick, you can take nearly infinite amounts.

Strongmen I need your advice. I want to gain weight and have changed my diet and workout a lot in the last 5 months or so but nothing's changed.
I am 5'8" and 130 lbs and have been that way for about two years. I really want to gain weight and having been eating much more than normal these last few months.
For example, I quit being a vegetarian, started eating eggs, bacon, and chicken sandwiches every day, drink a quart of whole milk every day, and drink one of those Naked things with like 5 apples, 1 banana, and 1 mango in em. I try to eat a salad every day too. I snack on mixed nuts throughout the day and drink 2-3 cups of water.
I started exercising last August too. Until then I'd never exercised in my life.
I jog a mile or two and walk another mile or two whenever the weather is above 50. I also do kind of petty little workouts in my house. I only have one pair of 20 lbs dumbbells but I do 3 reps of 10 squats, 20 pushups, 20 sit ups, 10 flies, 10 bench press, 10 dips, and 20 curls.
I know that's not much, and I'm not expecting to get jacked from it. I just was hoping that getting in a little physical activity would increase my appetite and make me eat more but so far nothing's changed.
What can I do to fix this shit /b/?

Hi /fit/, I have a friend who is in some SEA jungle ammo camp which has no gym, and he only has weekends off. He says he runs 2.5 km every morning and night and in between he does 1000 pushups, 1000 situps, 500 pullups, 1000 squats on each day of the week respectively.
When he gets out on the weekends he swims 50 laps and jogs morning and night.
He is ultra-shredded. He looks like the late Andy. RIP Andy. If I do what he does, will I become fit too?
