Holy shit the Hodge Twins suck. Never knew much about these guys. I'd heard them referenced on /fit/ but I never watched any of their videos. I just looked at their "What do we think about Starting Strength" video. Half the video was literally just the one guy pushing his brother toward the camera, and them laughing. Then they just said, "well this guys been lifting for a long time so I think he knows what he's talking about.." It was clear they did not even glance at SS to review it. Then they said "you won't build muscle doing isolation exercises," which is sheer bullshit. Obviously isolation isn't as effective for a bodily transformation, but you will build muscle in the targeted areas doing isolations. And then the video was over. How are these guys even remotely popular on YouTube? They're not informative and they're not even at least funny. They're obnoxious. Wtf?

These amounts of vitamin C are far too low to get a significant benefit, or even compare with the amounts of vitamin C normally produced by most mammals under stress. Most every mammal produces its own vitamin C from its liver. Primates and shit like guinea pigs got a mutation so that they can't. How much does a normally functioning animal liver make? A DOG will produce on the order of 20-40 GRAMS of vitamin C per day. Put it under stress, cut it or some shit, and it can go up as high as 200 grams per day. BIRDS? Make like 5-8 grams/day. Torture those little bitches? 20-40 grams. Listen, listen folks. You want to avoid a cold? You want to avoid a flu? You need to stop fucking around with these placebo doses of V. You want 10-25 grams ascorbic acid per day. You got the flu? You can go as high as 100 grams per day by mouth. Google "bowel tolerance vitamin C." They did some research and found that the sicker you are, the more C you can take by mouth before getting the runs. If you're really sick, you can take nearly infinite amounts.

Strongmen I need your advice. I want to gain weight and have changed my diet and workout a lot in the last 5 months or so but nothing's changed. I am 5'8" and 130 lbs and have been that way for about two years. I really want to gain weight and having been eating much more than normal these last few months. For example, I quit being a vegetarian, started eating eggs, bacon, and chicken sandwiches every day, drink a quart of whole milk every day, and drink one of those Naked things with like 5 apples, 1 banana, and 1 mango in em. I try to eat a salad every day too. I snack on mixed nuts throughout the day and drink 2-3 cups of water. I started exercising last August too. Until then I'd never exercised in my life. I jog a mile or two and walk another mile or two whenever the weather is above 50. I also do kind of petty little workouts in my house. I only have one pair of 20 lbs dumbbells but I do 3 reps of 10 squats, 20 pushups, 20 sit ups, 10 flies, 10 bench press, 10 dips, and 20 curls. I know that's not much, and I'm not expecting to get jacked from it. I just was hoping that getting in a little physical activity would increase my appetite and make me eat more but so far nothing's changed. Hi /fit/, I have a friend who is in some SEA jungle ammo camp which has no gym, and he only has weekends off. He says he runs 2.5 km every morning and night and in between he does 1000 pushups, 1000 situps, 500 pullups, 1000 squats on each day of the week respectively. When he gets out on the weekends he swims 50 laps and jogs morning and night. He is ultra-shredded. He looks like the late Andy. RIP Andy. If I do what he does, will I become fit too?

Why does my Pre-workout make me hungry later on? I'm drinking plenty of water, so I don't think that its because I'm dehydrated. The pre-workout I'm taking is MP Assault. I get a hungry feeling in my stomach 15 minutes after I eat. What's the deal? Pic related. It's me thinking I'm about to go over my daily calories.

Hey /fit/ What's the best way to stop a cycle halfway through? Do I just hop on my PCT? My depression's hit me really hard. I can't eat, I can't leave bed, I can't sleep. I'm pathetic. I recently moved into my own place with my fella. We haven't had a fridge, cooker or washing machine for a while so we've been living off of packaged foods and microwavable items. Nobody told me how stressful transitioning into adult life was, even at 21 years old. Kinda lost my way for the last 2 months and I've been extremely unhealthy and I'm really feeling it. I feel bummed out as hell allday, erryday. Can we get a /fit/ girl/before and after thread going? Supplements thread What you take and what you do? I do brazilian jiu jitsu 7 days a week in the morning and do crossfit/muay thai 7 nights a week. I take: - 1 Multivitamin - 3 Fishoil tablets (2000 mg ea) - 3 Magnesium tablets - Protein shake in morning - 4 Litres minimum of water a day. I've recently been taking 2 scoops of no-xplode after work before I head off to night training but to be honest I don't know if it's even doing anything besides give me diarrhea. Anyone have any experience with pre workout drinks? Does anyone take ZMA? I've heard a lot of controversy about this stuff at my gym and I don't know.
