Hey, /fit/. Beginner here. Been lifting for one and a half months. My current deadlift working weight is 65 kg (~140 pounds). I'm doing 5 sets of 5 reps. How long should I continue to deadlift 5x5? So far it's not too hard, and I break a nice sweat, but I hear 5x5'ing DLs is not really a smart thing to do. Why is that? Also, how does this sound? I'm thinking I'll 5x5 until 80 kg, then 5x3 until 100 kg, then proceed with 5x1 for everything over 100 kg. Does this sound smart to you? Any input would be much appreciated.

I didn't see one so Questions that don't deserve their own thread. 2 questions /fit/. I feel (hear?) a clicking like sensation in my left hip after extending my left leg, like, I will bend my leg in, and after bending it back to out to normal I feel the click. Is this a bad thing? Also, started to lift with Strong Lifts, I want them washboard abs, so should I do anything other than the exercises in Strong Lifts, or should I just keep going? I have a belly so also doing cardio to cut that out

Yo /fit/. I've been lifting for 6 months. 3 months pissing around basically, and the last 3 months doing Starting Strength. So basically me and some bros are doing a 12 week strength challenge. I'm really weak for how long I've been lifting, 130kg deadlift and other lifts in proportion. For these 12 weeks, is continuing SS my best bet? I was looking at 5/3/1 3 month challenge, but maybe that's more advanced than I need?
