Is there any harm in occasionally choking yourself? I like to choke myself with a scarf or something like that sometimes to the point where I almost black out. It helps with my anxiety and I always feel better after it. I never do it so long that I would pass out plus even if I would, I wouldn't choke because I don't tie the scarf anywhere or anything like that. I just want to know if this causes brain damage or something?

So, I was squatting wednesday, and on my last set, about on the second rep, i felt something on the left side of my lower back, but it wasn't bad, I was able to finish my set (a really great set btw, pr for 10 reps), and did cleans no prob afterwards. When i got home thou, it got worse, kind of like you feel when you have a stiff neck, couldn't bend over without pain, took a muscle relaxer, went to sleep, it was almost gone on the next few days, only really felt it when if i tried to squat, now it's completely gone. Should i be worried? I don't squat all that much, it was only 116kg ( i weight 92kg), but i guess it's enough to affect the body's center of gravity, and i read that could be dangerous, could that be it? Also, could it be a flexibility issue? I have only recently been able to go a little below parallel without a butt wink, and even so, when i go below parallel i always feel a strong pull in the hams/glutes. I really don't think the problem is form thou. So, i guess my question is, what could it be? Could it be something serious, or was it probably just a poorly executed rep? Should i purposefully stall while i work on my flexibility a little more, or should i continue to work on it while lifting normally?

Okay /fit/ this is a fucking hard thing to type out but here I go... Guys, I have a body issue and a mental block with lifting. i'm 18, and 190lbs I used to weigh 245 and I've never ever bulked just maintained and cut. Well today I highbar squatted 325 ass to grass and I haven't squatted for over 3 weeks, not only that but before that I only squatted a total of like 12 times. I also hadn't deadlifted in 3 months and hit a 405 deadlift after barely warming up today but couldn't get 425. I have a 325 bench and a 315 row along with a 245 untrained hang clean ( I just kind of tried them the other day) Heres the fucking deal.... I'm scared to bulk, I know I have potential and I know i'm strong but I'm fucking horrified of getting fat again so I do this constant maintaining/half cutt bullshit but tonight I realized i'm done with that. I need some brotherly love, tell me this shits going to be alright. Tell me to fucking do this.
