You realize kicks are easier to dodge than punches? That's why they're rarely used in real fights outside of movies.

And since you probably mean Bruce Lee, realize that Ali could connect a jab on the chink with a greater range than Lee could kick most of his body.

Bruce is a fucking monster who practiced the majority of his life for fighting. Punching buckets of rocks on a daily basis and kicking bags to the ceiling, he also trained his grip strength so he can grapple his opponents. He's an MMA fighter and experimented with whatever he could to improve his body. He's also read countless books and studied Chinese energy shit that helped him pull off his one inch punch. Wing Chun, his original style, is very quick and emphasized on speed. He pretty much built off that and learned to take advantage of the opponent's energy and bounce it back to them.

But the man is dead and we didn't get enough footage on his actual fighting so I don't really know.

Jet Li won Wushu National Championships, so... Maybe?

Jackie Chan is just a stuntman who knows fighting styles..

>"In the days leading up to the fight Ali and Inoki’s representatives began to renegotiate the rules. A list of restrictions was imposed on Inoki. He would not be allowed to throw, grapple or tackle Ali, and could not land any kicks unless he had one knee on the mat.[3] Ali’s camp also demanded that the rules not be made public before the fight. As judo expert and US Marine Donn Draeger noted: "The rules have been so seriously modified that the contest is no longer boxing versus wrestling. Unless this were done there would be no way to choreograph the match and make it look convincing. Ali can grapple or punch the man down; Inoki is not allowed to leg-dive or tackle. That latter restriction is the same as prohibiting Ali from jabbing. What a farce!"

Lee would actually be a really good contender in this fight because:

1) Out of all of them he had the most experience with different forms of fighting including boxing, wrestling, and even weird shit like fencing
2) Ali is a genius at boxing but particularly bad against other forms of fighting, unfortunate since he is my favorite boxer of all time, but true.
3) The rest are fucking actors
3a) Michael Jai White - buff dude who's an actor and knows on screen fighting, he's fucking toast
3b) Tony Ja - didn't even know any martial arts before starring in movies, so his entire repetoire is 100% for show. He literally does not even have the deadened nerves and other body adaptions that true Muay Thai kickboxers are famous for.
3c) Jet Li is a 4 time national champion... of a performance art (Wushu).
3d) Jackie - only guy who would even last a past a few hits betweeen Ali or Lee, but Jackie, who did have some pretty brutal training growing up, is still highly geared for performance and stage martial arts (especially with his specialty in hapkido).
4) Only Ali and Li trained for the endurance necessary for a fight. Jackie regularly does steady state cardio as likely do all the others, but only Ali and Li trained extremely intense cardio like all serious MMA fighters these days.

This isn't like a Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Li fight. You picked some pretty easy targets for Li.

Lee had experience vs. boxers and studied boxing quite a bit himself and was able to use traps to counter fast punches while scoring his own. Lee also sparred and trained with people considerably larger than he, like Kareem Abdul Jabar (yes, the NBA hall of famer) to, among other things, learn how to counter people with considerably longer range.

Ali however cannot counter anything outside of boxing.

Well except maybe Van Damme. for him it's more like 86% or so.

Inoki stayed on the ground for all but the first 14 seconds of the three-minute first round, kicking at Ali and landing one clean hit to Ali’s right leg. The majority of the fight saw Inoki on his back kicking Ali’s legs, occasionally connecting. By the third round, a wound had appeared on Ali’s left knee.[3]

>Ali began walking around the ring, out of reach of Inoki's kicks, taunting him by shouting "Coward Inoki! Inoki no fight!". In the fourth round, Inoki, still on his back, trapped Ali in a corner and started kicking wildly at his thighs. Ali leapt up on to the ropes and tucked his legs underneath him.

>The fight, went the fifteen round distance and was scored as a draw. Inoki had been three points up but was docked all three for fouls.

This is so stupid. My brother and I used to fight like this before we learned how to fight. I am sure either could have destroyed me back then but that fight is pathetic.

>Lee appeared at the 1967 Long Beach International Karate Championships and performed various demonstrations, including the famous "unstoppable punch" against USKA world Karate champion Vic Moore.[36] Lee told Moore that he was going to throw a straight punch to the face, and all he had to do was to try to block it. Lee took several steps back and asked if Moore was ready, when Moore nodded in affirmation, Lee glided towards him until he was within striking range. He then threw a straight punch directly at Moore's face, and stopped before impact. In eight attempts, Moore failed to block any of the punches

i mean ali in his prime was at least 1.5 times bruce lee's body weight. considering how small the ranges are for weight classes in fighting sport, this is a HUGE advantage for ali. And you act like bruce would be able to take down ali? and that ali wouldn't just literally absorb bruce's kicks with his massive core and punch him in the face right after that?

I'm assuming that this is just an all-out fight?
None of them are super proficient at any form of jiu jitsu or wrestling, so this would be a stand-up match.
Moving on:
Muhammad Ali, would be the best striker with his punches, obviously. He trained nothing but punching, however, in a kick boxing match he would get beat fairly quick just due to the fact that he hasn't trained against kicks, how to check them or even really expect them. He should not be in this fight.

Tony Jaa would be next to be disqualified. He was trained in Taekwondo and Muay Thai but he never actually competed. He was pretty much self-taught by watching Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan films.

Micheal Jai White, holds a very impressive resume. He holds 7 black belts in different arts. Some of them were very similar to karate and one involved weapons. However, he would probably lose to Jean Claude Van Damme

Jean Claude Van Damme is probably my personal favorite. In his kickboxing career he went 18-1 and was a world championship winner. He was a badass. Would he beat Jet Li, Jackie Chan, or Bruce Lee though? I doubt it, but they'd all be great matches. Jackie Chan and he would be a pretty good match though, he'd might even win.

Jackie Chan is a very interesting guy. He's pretty good at martial arts and he's a gymnast. I doubt he could beat Bruce Lee or Jet Li though

Jet Li is one of the most true action stars. He has a very very extensive background, training in Wushu at a very young age. He master the art and was one the national team. He's a beast.

Bruce Lee was a badass. He is more overrated though he trained pretty much from the age of 13 until he died. he taught people and mastered kung fu.

Who i think would win? I could not say, I would have to say either, Bruce Lee, Jet Li or Jean-Claude because of their history in training and how proficient they were in each art.
As for who would be

also, let me further myself as I have trained kick-boxing and boxing separately.
Boxing involves another stance completely than kickboxing. A lot of times in boxing, you aren't dodging by moving your feet. Boxers are prone to putting a lot of weight on one foot because that's the style of the sport. They are not used to kicking. Kicks may be "easier to dodge", but when you're a boxer, it's hard to avoid a crippling leg kick when you're not used to completely moving the foot. The boxer stance is more of a squared off stance which minimizes the target, while the kick boxing is more open as to be able to throw kicks proficiently. This is why boxers don't usually make good kick boxers and why kick boxers don't make good boxers.

If you think Bruce Lee was just an actor or stuntman, then you're straight up retarded. In a no rules fight, Bruce would fuck Ali up.

Tony jaa would be the first out, as he's never fought in real life with the things he's learned. That and there are better MY and TKD people out there

Michael would be the second out from van dame

Van dame would be the third out from Jet Li

Muhammad Ali would be the fourth out not due to skill but due unfamiliarity with other martial arts; he could get lucky and hit the others though to be the last one standing

The ones that would be the last standing is Jet Li, Bruce Lee, and Jackie Chan. Jet Li and Jackie chan both had the same training as Bruce.

Jackie Chan was also trained in Chinese Opera, along with Sammo Hung; which allowed them to master the technique of quick thinking/improv (ie the wacky stunts he does). Chan and Hung both have been into fights (that they didn't want to partake in) with other people that tried to mess with them. Jackie with the city bustling streets and Sammo with bars.

Jet Li (and Donnie Yen) have both trained together growing up. Both have families that are highly regarded in martial arts. Jet Li claims he hasn't been in a fight and wishes he wouldn't; as he might either hurt himself or kill someone accidentally. Yet he is still the best amongst tournaments as shuns wushu demonstrations as they are too "flowery" and dont teach what the martial arts are about (defense). Donnie has grown up with gangs and was a dick growing up; ie stealing money from people and participating in gang fights over turf and drugs.

Bruce is Bruce. The fight between Bruce, Jackie, Jet, Sammo, and Donnie is hard as they're all GOAT fighters; anything can happen and anyone can win. I'll only say Bruce as he's proven his worth and Jackie actually is capable of doing what he does on film in real life. Jet comes at a close second, Sammo and Donnie at last tied as the former has his health failing and the latter hasn't been practicing for a long time (he is obsessed with choreography over technique and hasn't fought nor practiced since he was in his twenties)

i've been training in karate (kenpo jiujitsu specifically) for almost a decade and have come across hundreds of practitioners. at the end of the day, it comes down to how seriously you train and who you are trained by. i've seen great students under shit instructors and shit students under great instructors. it comes down to how much you practice, and how you go about your training. i've been in street fights, and have been fortunate enough not to have lost (yet), but i have seen people get their asses kicked because they only practiced what *looked* nice rather than actually taking the time to learn what works and why it works. karate, like weight lifting, has about 1 legitimate practitioner for every 500 faggots dicking around in their basement. for every lyoto machida (or whoever is a famous pro fighter nowadays) or konstantin konstantinov, there is an army of dyel faggots doing crossfit or punching sandbags at a mcdojo.
