got bloodwork back. I have pretty low testosterone levels for my age. I've been noticing a lot of symptoms of it lately too. do I have any other options aside from TRT? I'm only 20 so I'm a bit reluctant to go on it.

why does life have to be this way ;_;

There are a lot of people on here with low T OP. Imo its all bullshit. Do you have a good diet? Are you getting all the vitamins and minerals you should? Are you eating enough fats? Do you get good amount of sunlight? Do you get 8 hours of sleep most nights? Are you living a low stress life?
If you answered no to any of these questions, try fixing these things first. Then go back after a few months and get retested.

Most people on here have low test for a reason. Its just as bad as the fattys claiming genetics.

OP I am going to advise you NOT TO do hormone therapy yet.

after 6 months in the gym I hit a slump for some reason, my lifts were stagnant (while my cals where the same). In the meantime, I put on a lot of fat/weight quickly in the course of a month (nearly 10 lbs). I started noticing I had pain on my right nipple and felt a lump there
>dat gyno
I realized my hormones went out of wack by one night of partying hard (did a shitton of drinking)
Realized that alcohol fucks with your hormones. I went through the whole summer stagnant and low test
I was at my wits end, and decided to try fasting for 24 hours cause I heard it would reset my hormones
And it fucking did. My gyno lump went away a week after doing this shit. I was amazed.
My lifts are increasing at a rate I forgot was possible.
I'm thinking of doing a 24-32 hour fast once every month to keep my hormones balanced.

I mean, it's common knowledge that periodic and reasonable fasting is good for you. We're not talking starvation diets, just 24 hours once or twice every few months.

Hell, an entire diet is based around fasting, and in my experience it works quite well. Intermittent fasting.

I drank a lot. I noticed since I started exercising, lifting and eating clean, my body has become waaay more sensitive to foods and shit.
It honestly wasn't a problem before I started being healthier. My body reacted negatively to too many sugars in my blood stream and just tipped the boat.
I was also stressed about other things (money and school) but I'm bretty sure that threw my hormones over the edge.

Look up "the hormonal reset" online, you'll find some science behind it.

I don't want to look it up now cause I don't want this thread to be clipped and it'll be all for nothing.

IN general though, you're supposed to drink nothing but water. I started 10 pm the night before because it was my last meal. I slept for 8-10 hours. The other 16 hours I spent drinking water and making sure I don't do anything that requires too much moving. I lay in bed and read or watched some netflix.
> pick a day that will be easier to navigate through with any responsibilities
Once 10 pm rolled around I wasn't as hungry as I thought I'd be and decided I'd sleep through it and eat in the morning.

The only thing bad about it is the "brain fog" that comes along with having no carbs (brain runs on that shit)

Why is TRT a bad thing? If you have low T, then get it fixed and life will improve. I'm thinking of getting bloodwork done myself just because I can maybe get natty test, and will make lifting a lot better.

Because TRT is expensive, and it's for life. While you may have low test, you at least have a natural capacity to produce *some* test. Stay on TRT for more than a few months and even that will be gone, probably for good, unless your doc had the foresight to put you on periodic HCG as well.

Having test supplemented to you comes with health problems. If your test is low due to your lifestyle, its better to fix the lifestyle than to risk the side effects of TRT.

No it doesn't. TRT doesn't have side effects beyond what normal systemic test does. The biggest problem is the fluctuation, which any doc worth their salt can fix with a proper prescription and approach. If you want to know the real problems with TRT, see this:

Why is TRT so expensive when teste can be bought fairly cheap? I don't know much about it, but i really thought they were closely related.

What about all those pills and prescribed shit for older men for guys with low T thats all over the place? Wouldn't that be better then waiting?

>fitocracy(dot)c-o-m/knowledge/the-hormonal-reset/

That last part of the article was gold for me. I sleep 6-8 hours a day and include Squats and DL in my 5 day split so I got that covered. The thing I didn't expect was my own body being overwhelmed by the physical and mental stress.

I also should've bookmarked the studies showing that fasting increases HGH and increases insulin sensitivity.

>What about all those pills and prescribed shit for older men for guys with low T thats all over the place? Wouldn't that be better then waiting?
No, because they're junk, unproven, and don't work.

You don't want the stuff that does work because designer drugs are legitimately dangerous. We don't know how changing a methyl group here and adding a chloramine there will impact the safety profile of these drugs long term.

Real steroids have DECADES of safety data available. And the evidence of their safety is pretty overwhelming, barring for a few annoying side effects.

>Why is TRT so expensive when teste can be bought fairly cheap? I don't know much about it, but i really thought they were closely related.
Because you're buying legitimate human-grade, pharmaceutical testosterone that most insurance won't cover at all. The stuff you buy online? Let's just say that there's a reason it's so cheap. The shit you get from pharmacies is prime, clean, properly dosed, and painless. And you never have to worry about whether you're actually injecting what you ordered.

I shall share a family secret with you, and the /fit/ board, good sir(s) Centuries ago the men of my family would travel to the nearest K-Mart, and trade enemy skulls and scalps for zinc pillz. They would then return to their village and IV 100mg of zinc daily. They would eat nothing but salads with carrots, spinach, and tomatoes. (ranch is okay, other wise it's not a salad, but a plate of grass) They never once spilled their seed, aka your cum that gives life and keeps the human race alive. No, it was saved for when the mother of life selected them. These were real men. They shot zinc, sustained from sexual activity other than to reproduce and built shit.

Normal levels are a vast improvement over low levels. And if they let you inject on your schedule, you can time it so that you're getting supraphysiological levels for at least 15 days out of a month.

I was just pointing out that "cycling" implies roiding for muscle, and boosting your test from 250 to 800 probably won't make a huge difference.

personally i'm trying IF, DHEA and D-Aspartic Acid. I should get the new results on Thursday and take it from there.
