Mavericks to Yosemite

I'm considering on upgrading to Yosemite. Although I am also hearing a bunch of complaints about it. Things from the way the folders are, no "fullscreen" button, crappy icons, and so on. Most of these things can be fixed with a simple image in place of the icon, but can anyone give me a list of things that are problems with Yosemite?
Also, no matter what you say, I'm not changing my OS. I have an Apple Fag for life, so don't waste your time PC/Linux guys.

Hi I'm planning to get into PC gaming for the first time and I have a few questions.
Some extra details I have about £16k in savings $25k and a good income 13 out of that 16k was saved in just about a year and a month or so, so I don't mind spending extra when needed I don't want to cheap out for some things and pay for it later.
I plan to buy a 970 although I'm not sure which version to get I want to be able to overclock it as much as possible, I also in the future may get a 4k TV to play on and I plan to buy a oculus rift if that has any effect on the decision and I might hook up multiple ones in the future if I need need.
What CPU should I get? I read a little into it and many people on forums said the i7s aren't really designed with gaming in mind and that i5s are better for that, is that true?
I want a CPU that is quite future proof and I plan to overclock it to whatever the safe maximum would be, I also love Fallout 3 New Vegas and Skyrim and presumably the elder scrolls game Witcher 3 etc so I want one that would work very well with open world games, I also plan to mod these games possibly including mods that would increase the amount of people or creatures in a area.
I also guess I don't mind what company to get the CPU from AMD or Intel but as I said within reason I would want the most powerful CPU I can get.
Another question are CPUs like CPUs in that the cost and power change drastically every year or not? Just wondering as if it's less variable then I might be more willing to get a higher end one if it wont be outdated in just a couple of years.

So I've been trying to turn an old computer into a media center, but I can't get it to connect to the fucking monitor. Whenever the VGA isn't plugged in, you can see that the monitor does actually work, because it's asking for a signal. I can't get into the settings through the buttons on the front, and when I plug the VGA into the PC, the light on the front of the monitor goes from green to orange and goes black. I've tried it with two different computers, and I have no fucking idea what it could be.
I can't find anything about this online, or i'm using the wrong search terms.

IMO, Linux is becoming a piece of shit. They just keep stacking crap on top of crap. Why support shit that no one uses? Just so we can slow everyone down?
Switched from Linux to FreeBSD about a month ago. First I did it for my server, then my desktop.
I always thought of FreeBSD as another failed alternative OS. I must say, from the moment I started using it it seemed much more rock solid than Linux could ever be. Plus I admire the fact that FreeBSD developers focus more on technology than politics.
FreeBSD supports ZFS, Jails, appears to use less memory, has rock-solid stability, great documentation, great security warnings. The list goes on.
What's your excuse, /g/? CentOS isn't one of them.

Advertising is the cancer of Internet. It pretty much ruined online journalism (pageview whoring breeds sensationalism, at the expense of journalistic integrity), not to mention all the privacy-related concerns that arise from targeted advertising.
Ad-blockers are one possible cure, but most people don't know about them. Many Internet message boards forbid discussing them, and often threaten to ban those who do.
So let's spread the word, faggots. Social media, blogs, forums, anything, just spread it.
