Constant slight static noise from speakers

I recently purchased new speakers, and they work fine and all, and at first I didn't notice a problem like this, but right now whenever I get close to them I can hear a slight static noise coming from them when nothing else is playing, and it gets louder the louder I make them through their controller.
The static noise persists even if they're not connected to the computer, and whenever I unplug the green jack cable and it touches anything else with the tip it emits a really loud noise/sound from the speakers, not sure how to describe it, I don't think it did that when I first connected them to the computer but it does now.
Is this solvable?

/g/ I bought a laptop online half a year ago, in great condition, no defects whatsoever. A little suspiciously too cheap.
I'm selling it right now, and the first call I get is from a call from a guy who's questioning me all about the specs, then asks if the laptop was stolen from some office. wtf?!
I got a mail just now, from a guy who wants to buy it, and he asks me to make sure it's charged before we meet... I'm paranoid as fuck in here because I'd just depleted the battery almost completely a few hours ago.
Am I crazy or is this a government laptop they can track down remotely and even check its battery life? How the fuck did the guy know the battery was depleted? /g/ I think some office douches are after me. halp!

Cheap, yet good android tablets? If root are available, ROMs and so on are too, that would be perfect.
I want to buy my sister one, and I haven't seen one of these threads for long.
Also, I remember seeing a pic with three tablets, whereas one were white and he said that he had bought them pretty cheap. If someone has the pic, please post it

Hello, I am new Crunchbang user who has dual monitors, with an NVIDIA card. On previous distros, my 2nd monitors resolution would not go above 640x480 with proprietary drivers, would using free drivers solve the issue, and has anyone here ever had something like this?
The monitor in question has a resolution of 1440x900.
