So I just bought a new router, a Netgear DGND3300v2, and I'm having a problem with it.
I plugged it in, connected it to the phone-hole and computer correctly, but when I go to test it via the setup wizard thingy, the test always fails. Before the test, the Internet light is off. During the test, it turns red.
If I plug in my old router, it works and the Internet light goes green. If it goes red, a router reboot fixes it. Router rebooting does not fix the new router's problems, however.
I have a feeling the issue is with configuration. However, the old router is 3 years old, and no-one in my family remembers its username or password. The default "admin" and "password" don't work either. So I can't cross-reference its formatting with the new one.
