So, I just installed AppChan X and it's pretty good, but is there any way for me to bring back the default Thread Watcher, with auto-updating and such? The AppChan one is useless.

Hello- I have downloaded the whole openstreetmap. -How can I search the map on my Windows computer now that I have downloaded it? -How do I incorporate this week's updates into my downloaded copy? -What do I do if I miss a week of updates? Looking for infographics or anything you might have- help me free myself from google maps. I have tried to find answers to these questions, but I have had a thousand problems.

Anyone handy with MIPS or assembly? I'm trying to implement the bubble sort for ASCII characters on MIPS. All I have to do is sort 10 ASCII characters. The assumption is that 10 will be inputted and only alphabet characters will be inserted (so no error catching needs to be put in place). First, I need to convert everything to uppercase which is handled easily. Second, I need to sort the characters from 'least' to 'greatest' (ASCII 'A' is less than ASCII 'Z'). Currently, my code sorts everything fine...as long as there are no repeated characters. If there are, it just sorts once and finishes. I understand what needs to be done: I need to sort 10 times (10 elements in the array) to be sure that everything is sorted. I need to make a counter that counts the # of times sort has occurred and once I get to the 10th sort, I need to exit the loop. How to do that in assembly is another story. Any ideas?

I have 2 dllhost processes that are always running, but seem to close as soon as I open the task manager It's my understanding that the dllhost utility can execute code if the dll has an entry point They run with pic related command line I cant find any information on google about that process ID, and a search through my registry reveals various references to things named similar to "profile host", "profile service", etc I find it extremely suspicious that they mysteriously close a few seconds after I open task manager Since I cant find any help on google I thought I'd ask /g/, am I infected or is it possible they are legitimate?

Fuck /g/, I've used linux for 6 years. I've tried almost every OS out there. Many ups and downs. But, I think it's time I just go back to windows and stop the hassle.. >unless you guys can recommend me a new OS to check out?

What GPU does /g/ recommend for $100~$150? Else I'm getting a 7770 because I'm physically incapable of doing my own research.

I am about to join a part time job for the first time and I need some shit to help make my employers think I am a greatest person on the fucking earth, can you guys help improve my English: Here is what I've got - I work well with others, I tend to be a nervous starter and a quiet worker and do take time to really understand how to complete a task but I am loyal and work hard if given the opportunity. I am willing to learn in a non-argumentative approach, when given a task I will do it. I believe I would make a great addition to your business and will work my finest.

My new apartment is fucking tiny and I can't get a decent sized image out of my Optoma HD67N. Should I switch to a short throw (I'll also upgrade to 1080p resolution) or ~27" 1440p IPS monitor?

Hey /g/ simple question, what is wrong with being a tripfag? I have seen and read things by Chrs (moot) who said that Trips are something that are really neat that he has incorporated from other sites for users to come here and use. I have seen some good trips and some bad trips and you ALL seem to think they are nothing but bad. Yes i understand this is an anonymous board, SURE, but THIS isn't /g/ isn't, IF it were meant to be then there wouldn't be a place for you to put your name right? so why all the commotion over the fact you can be any one? >"Batman can be one"

Quick questions general? I have lots of spare computer parts, missing a chassi and a graphics card to put together a media PC for my TV. The heaviest it would do is playing 1080p MKV files. Possibly some light gaming in the form of SNES, PS1 emulation. What's a good cheap choice for graphics card? Could I get away with a Nvidia GT 610?

Having seen the Apple keynote, I like the file tagging system. What Windows program will do that for me?
