Ok /g/ so I have a set of Bose Companion 3 2.1 desktop speakers. Yes I know Bose blows, overprices, sounds like shit, etc. But these were a gift years back and have served me fine for a while. Well recently they have started making a popping, crackling sound when I adjust the volume using the little rotary volume adjuster. The cracking sounds seems to only happen when I adjust the volume quickly, ie turn them up or down a significant amount turning the wheel fast.
Are the speakers dying/blown out? Maybe its a grounding issue? The problem happens when plugged into multiple audio sources, and I have tried using a different audio correct to no avail. Any ideas what is causing this?

If you recommended an order in learning any language, what would you recommend?
For example, I talked with a friend about the subject. He told me it would be fine if I started with a mid-tier language (C++), then I could learn a low-tier too (for example, java), being a high-tier assembly language.
What would be your recommended list?
