>Installer crashes twice (no apparent reason) but it works on the third time
>Wow, Gnome 3 looks pretty neat
>Turns out to be sluggish and unresponsive. Random dialog boxes stop responding to button presses, bringing up certain menus takes ages for no reason, etc. Doesn't seem to be performance-related; it's just... fucking slow.
>Try to install icon theme or change the default UI color scheme
>Involves a bunch of dumbfuckery involving "extension" packages which require a bunch of roundabout bullshit to even function properly
>Entire system lacks cohesion and is generally annoying to use, a complete downgrade from Windows 7
>Same shit, lacks cohesion, awful software all-around, terrible, clunky UI
>Laptop's hotkeys for volume etc. appear to work at first glance, with a volume icon overlay appearing on the screen and a slider moving up/down, but in reality it doesn't affect the actual volume of the system which must be manipulated with the slider on the panel
>put computer to sleep
>lame ass "fade to black" animation bullshit
>every time I wake it up, xscreensaver has blanked the screen out and requires a login, despite having disabled the screensaver
>attempt to tether phone
>Updating available wifi APs requires disabling wireless on the laptop and re-enabling it
>What the actual fuck
>Now I remember why I fucking hate Linux
Are there any distros which ship with minimal bullshit and which work as expected? I don't need "just werkz" and I'm happy to spend a little bit of time configuring things, but I don't want to have to deal with non-cohesive, hacky, sluggish, unresponsive, annoying bullshit
>mfw I should just install OSX

Hey /g/, audiophile noob here, never owned any good gear and want to join the masterrace.
I was looking for something around 1000 - 1500 dollars to get, and a good combo seems to be the Sennheiser HD650's with the Schiit Bifrost and Asgard, my question is, are there any other amps/dacs that are better for this price, and is the "coloured sound" of the HD650s a bad thing, and how do they compare to the HD600s and other cans?
