i don't know if this is the right place for this. how do i realize if a painting is good? i've listened to a LOT of pop music and i think i can now realize what's a good pop song. i think i can realize if it was made by someone who really likes music and is trying to be creative or by some dude that just wants to sell music. is it the same with paintings? do i have to see a lot of paintings? i realize it's a very broad question, but i guess you can give me some pointers. for example, i see what's on the image and i can't tell whether it's exceptionally good or what

Considering getting the Surface Pro 4 when it comes out. I know the pressure sensitivity isn't the best on the stylus but I have also heard it doesn't have that much of an impact. Supposedly this issue will be resolved in the new version anyways. What do you guys think? Anyone use the Surface Pro 3 currently? Art isn't the only reason I'm getting this but it is a major one.

Ive been austitically trying to figure out why some peoples action poses look better than others, what's the secret? I dont like the answer of just literally just doing lots of figure drawings My theory so far is kinda hard to explain but one thing I noticed was putting different body parts infront of eachother and strategically covering up some parts makes it look more dynamic. a lot of beginners look like they try to draw every part of the body and it makes it look boring and stiff, making certain parts of the body not show as if theres a camera angle makes it much more interesting and real. its hard to find an example but you can see in this pic like most of her body is covered by her face and it makes it look more dynamic than if more of her body showed

The grind is real guys

Alex Negrea did 150 pages of gesture drawings and posted in his facebook. 48 hours of work. 6 days drawing 8 hours a day. Damn. I don't really believe in this kinda of study trough grinding insane amounts of the same thing for a extended period. I think our brain don't absorb that well what we're doing. But I appreciate the kind of people who can do things like this without burning out.

CNC drawing machines its not printed, its not exactly computer generated art, its a machine with a pen drawing what you wanted to draw. Is this still art? it seems just like a really advanced drawing board, another tool https://youtu.be/gTH3VjvCfpA

Drawing unappealing appealing vaginas.

11 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
This is a rather interesting thing I was thinking about. Lets face it, not all vaginas in reality look too great, and thats okay. The human body is grotesque that way, and there is beauty in that. But what i've noticed is that very few artists have the ability to capture the realism of sexual organs, of course when one thinks to draw an appealing set of genitals they dont take into consideration the fact that realism is not only portraying the good, but the ugly as well, and people have a sexual response to this since flaws add to the realism and realism in erotic art can add to the appeal. symmetry, cleanness and uniformity does not always work well when drawing private parts as that is not how it is in reality, since every set of junk is different in certain ways, the viewer can subconsciously pick up on this. While im not saying every vagina or penis in a drawing must be 100% realistic or grotesque, im saying that certain ugly truths of realism work to benefit erotic art sometimes. I'd say being able to capture the eroticism within the grotesqueness of reality and exaggerate it or stylize it would be a point where you truly are a master of your craft, because something like that, in my opinion takes a lot of skill.

Anyone know of any reference books like this? One that includes sets of pictures of people during an activity. So far I've only found one of men taking off their clothes.
