Online Drawing Courses

I just wanted to know, if any of you guys uses an online drawing course to learn the fundamentals. They weren't mentioned in the sticky and i really want to focus my practice and make good use of my drawing time. I'm thinking about subscribing to one, but don't know which one is appropriate. Until now i looked at New Masters Academy, Drawing Academy and Schoolism. Thanks

How well do I actually need to learn how to draw if all I intend on doing is trying to get rich from making kids cartoons?

Why do so many amateur artists have explosive amounts of followers? I know it's the fanart, but I've seen good fanart not get the same amount of attention as the worse stuff, and I don't know why.

Flipnote Studio for 3ds

15 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
just a quick PSA: Flip note studio 3d was released for free on the 3ds in europe today. for anyone who doesn't know, flipnote is a flip book style animation software for the 3ds that was announced in 2011 and has only since been released in japan until today. i've been playing around with it and i'm pretty sure it's my favourite, most accessible tool for learning and practicing frame by frame animation. (i also own a cintiq 13hd and have lots of experience animating in flash and photoshop) tip: you can use a mechanical pencil as a stylus to make drawing more comfortable, just make sure you have a screen protector on The software is only available as a free download until the 30th of April, for people who sign up to mynintendo dot com

Hey /ic, longish time art student here. I have been studying art for around 6 years now ( drawing, painting, graphics etc) , i have made alot of progress over the years. Sadly i don't have many examples of my artwork other than the 3 pictures i have on my phone from last term. Anyway, i study in a known artschool in eu, and im having some issues that are giving me problems to reach higher. I have zero problems doing studies at school, for example still life, acts, etc, however when it comes down to simply creative work of my own, i hit a brick wall. I often end up just staring at a blank page. Sometimes it feels like my mind is a blank page itself. I have no idea what causes this, minor drugs, drinking from time to time, traumatic events in family life, past depression, lack of hapiness or love. I love art, and its one of the only things that im good at, but the lack of creative thinking i have experianced lately really brings me down. Has anyone ever had the same situation? How can i get my shit togeather?

Why is this 16 year old girl a MUCH better artist than Loomis?

23 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
https://twitter.com/Familyguyeatsa Her drawings look almost like photos while loomis looks like cartoony shit from the 1950s plus she draws cooler more contemporary internet celebrities like the amazing atheist and Bernie sanders and mrrepzion and pewdiepie Fuck, why is Loomis more popular then her? Ughh faith in humanity lost

getting back into drawing every day, i'm terrible at staying consistent with it and being rusty when i come back to it is discouraging so i decided to get some insight from strangers, the people in my life are too quick to tell me everything i draw is great. just looking for honest opinions regarding any topic, style, linework, medium, any comments welcome. thanks.

ITT: We draw the names we are assigned

We draw our interpretation of how a person with the names we get would look! For example, if i get "Don Colon" maybe i'll draw a mafia with an ass for a face

How do people draw anime? It looks so clean. Anytime I try drawing it, my work looks like chicken scratch and takes hours cleaning up. And it still looks like deviant art tier garbage.

Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises. Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud. AVOID asking unrelated questions, There is a question thread for that. Visit the usual "Art book Thread" to find your desired books. Do not forget to PLEASE RESIZE and crop your images before uploading them. 1kpx is fine. Before asking "what should I read/view/study/learn," Read the f*cking sticky, it's there for a reason: >>1579290 (Cross-thread) (Cross-thread) ? ? There's a new sticky in town! You can see it at https://www.reddit.com/comments/46sb9k/ >Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images. Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash. TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless. Being a minority in the freelance art industry?

134 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
First off we all know that the concept artist industry is made up mostly of white and Asian guys. you rarely if ever see Hispanics or even African Americans for that matter in the industry (unless I'm completely missing them. Feel free to name off examples that dont include Marco Nelor or Anthony Jones). I was just wondering since its definitely not a cultural thing, is it that being a minority decreases your chances of being successful as a freelance concept artist / illustrator? I'm am a minority and I've definitely experienced prejudice when looking for work. For the longest time I've had identical profiles on a freelance site -- one with my picture and one without -- and to this day the one with only a logo still gets me the most work. And when I do get a job on the other account nine times out a ten its either from a fellow hispanic or another miniority. Thoughts on this?

Palmaris longus muscle

Every good artist has good hand control. Hand control is the only factor which is beyond us. You can't train it unless you have a double Palmaris Longus Muscle. Don't believe me? Ask your favorite artist whoever it may be. Glenn Vilppu has a double palmaris, so does Proko and Sycra. Glenn's the OP pic. I have it too, and so does everyone who is better than at least 50% of i/c. It has become very clear that we've mis-identified the spark as something within us, but it's clear our body is the real limit. So I ask you I/C. Do you have it? Do you have the ligameme?

Are you able to get the same professional look from a water brush as from a traditional brush? I'm just starting and the convienence of an aquabrush and watercolor pans appeals a lot more to me than tubes and throbbing hairy wooden brushes.

I want to draw from imagination. Actually, I want to paint from imagination. For now, I'm drawing from real life to develop some skills. How long should I keep doing this? When should I start drawing from imagination? When should I switch from drawing to painting which is my ultimate goal? Picture is my latest drawing, if it helps. t
