I don't know whether I should be taking this to /g/ so be kind, /ic/. What tabletpc would you recommend for a digital artist? Carrying around a sketchbook feels too limited to me now. Pic related, I'm currently considering a Nexus 7 after playing with my dads for a while.

Can anyone find the source for this? It seems impossible at the moment. It's very special for someone and I'd thank whoever finds it forever.

hey /ic/. so recently (like, the past year or so) i've been doing a lot of countour drawings from observation, and i've gotten pretty good at drawing things with lines. now my problem is that i can't describe the human body with form/volume at all without references. my ability to draw from imagination sucks. anyone have any tips/suggestions on what i should be focusing on/etcetc? (i understand that i need to DRAW MORE!!! but i'm pretty lost as for a general direction)

As someone who is interested in improving their ability at drawing, starting out at the level of more or less total beginner, could I apply the principles taught by ctrl+paint to good old fashioned pencil n' paper drawing? Thanks muchly. >Cuhtarl?

So I've been in this study mode for a while now, probably about a year or two, and what I wanted to get better for was to start figure painting eventually. I've been drawing in pencil for a long time and focusing so much on that that now that I'm at a stage where I'm comfortable enough to begin to learn how to paint I don't know where the hell to start. I was wondering if there are any resources online or books for the very basics of painting, step by step kind of stuff, like the loomis of painting or something? Also, right now I have red, blue, yellow, black and white acrylic paint. I want to eventually use oil but I heard acrylic is good for beginners, is this true? Thanks /ic/

ok so I made this poster for a friend and I know it's pretty bad, but I figure you all will tell me why and to what extent. Obviously it's a remake of Jusepe's "Saint Peter in Penitence", and obviously it's nowhere near as good as the original, so please when you make your critique don't compare the two.

So on my pdf of the Charles Bargue Drawing Course it kindof jumps from page 97 to page 134. Is this normal? O_o I thought I had a complete version but I can't find any pdfs that don't have the same gap. If someone could explain this to me it'd be greatly appreciated.

Maybe not the right place, but still. For anyone owns a 'moleskine' sketch book, or any sketch book with a back pocket, i have a good idea. Put a collection of words with vary subjects, emotions or anything and then you can use it as a lucky dip for things to draw about
