I have only one bit of wisdom to give to you aspiring "artists" on this board. If you haven't "made it" as you kids today say, by the time you are in your mid 20's......QUIT. Stop wasting your time. Learn how to play the guitar or piano instead. Its a much more rewarding art form as a whole. Drawing every single day and committing countless hours studying a myriad of sources just for the slim chance the juices in your brain spark something that result in any semblance of genuine is skill is simply not worth the pain and suffering. You have been warned... Just remember, when you are in your 40s and still draw like some high school teen, don't forget that I told you so.

Hey /ic/ I'm wondering about something since I'm looking to take requests.. As an ever growing artist, have you ever done commission artwork for others online? How'd that go? Where would you say is the best place to look for taking up requests? I suppose the best way to do so is to get your name out there, promoting work, and hope someone will want to hire, but I'm also looking for opinions.

Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises. Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud. AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that. RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS: #1) >screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX) #2) >change camera capture settings to something smaller #3) >send to computer and resize in MSPaint ? ? Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash. TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless. I need to take some community college courses this semester. Would taking Drawing I as a beginner be a good idea or a bad one? And don't say "just stay home and practice on your own to save money," because if I don't take this, it'll just be a different course to fill the same requirement. If I'm going to be dissuaded from Drawing I, I want it to be because taking it as a beginner actually is a bad idea.

What's the fastest way of gittind gud while also developing a style? I've been studying for a little over a year now, and all I can draw are grotesque, semi-realistic humanoids when all I wanted to draw were cute anime girls. You guys told me that I needed to learn anatomy first, and I did, but I still can't draw anime. So what's the best approach? studying anime anatomy exclusively? pic related; Harada never studied anatomy.

Previous Thread >>2799409 Post your current drawing here and provide helpful criticism and advice to others! This is not a thread to discuss your autism, the rest of the board is for that. Please make sure your posted image is clear, DOWNSIZED TO AROUND 1000 PIXELS WIDE, ROTATED TO THE CORRECT ORIENTATION, and that any unused space is cropped. If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one and then kill yourself. >dA /ic/ group : >http://4chan-ic.deviantart.com >/ic/ Resources/Reference/Downloads/Links: >>General resources : >http://sites.google.com/site/4chanic/ >http://sites.google.com/site/artandwhatnot/ >http://characterdesigns.com/ >http://crimsondaggers.com/forum/thread-3.html >http://finaltrinity.tumblr.com/post/13163064364/art-references-tumblr-accounts >>fellowBro's books : >http://mediafire.com/?i44dwzkf9j9n8 >>more gay ass books: >>Figure Drawing Tool: >http://pixelovely.com/gesture/figuredrawing.php >http://posemaniacs.com/ >>Photoshop Brushes >http://cgsociety.org/index.php/CGSFeatures/CGSFeatureSpecial/tower_of_evilzz Now get to work!
