i really like this artists style. any idea how she does this? i have no intention to copy her - i'm not an artist, nor am i striving to be. i'd just like to mess around and do this to some pictures. if photoshop, or some complicated program, any hints as to the features used?

I can already guess this thread will probably derail or die immediately, but does /ic/ know of any fine artists (as opposed to illustrators etc. like pic related) who use digital painting?

This is Piet Mondrian's, Composition with Yellow, Blue, and Red. I moved the red square one block up. Is it still a masterpiece? Or dare I say, is it better? If he painted it like this will it still be famous?

Hi, art. I come seeking advice. I really want to recreate a moment i had on date, but im struggling to find the right medium to work with. My skills are mediocre, but I have a vision in my head. It was an outdoor night Jazz concert in a town square. I want recreate it, with the stage in the background and us sitting on the grass in the forground. I would love to approach it in a style similar to my attached images. What I need is advice on how to approach this. Should i keep all the figures in the image black and focus on lighting and feel? How do i put emphasis on us in the crowd as opposed the the others? Which medium should i use, this will be a quicker work? Any other advice or similar image would be greatly appreciated.

I've forgotten the name of an artist and it's killing me. This man's work was was very rough black and white posters, like the old British punk adverts. It was political/cultural satire. Few images, mostly printed words. A well known piece was some sort of warning poster about reality. I would really appreciate help with this, shall bump with original work.

Hello, arty gentlemen. Do any of you have any advice on where to find more images like this? Googling hasn't helped much. I believe it's a copper engraving, but I'm not sure. What I really want is (preferably Norse) mythology pictures in this style, but I'm not picky. I'd appreciate any help.

I am doing a art project and cant explain myself well. I am finding items that are man made and then their natural version to show that nature should not be changed or imitated. Whats a good way to display/phrase this better? (pic of grayson perry, just an artist i like)

What is it called when a line drawn over another line is darker than it would have been if it hadn't been drawn over another line? Sorry that I am dumb

Is there a program or tool online that will spit out numerical offsets for the position of an object moving around on a tween of your own design? Essentially an Adobe Flash motion tween that spits out numbers.
