Would you view someone who walked around with a book of art to be ostentatious and affected or soulful and sensitive?

Issues with Photoshop CS5 Extended OpenG

1 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ps-cs5-extended.jpg]
Im a user of Photoshop CS5 Extended. I basically use the program to sketch/draw and paint digitally and make color corrections. Recently however I noticed brush lag that ive been having when drawing. Im not sure if there has always been lag like this....but I doubt it. I tried alot of things, but what ive noticed was....opengl is on by default in "normal" mode when I reset Photoshop to factory settings. When I put it in "basic" mode theres still some performance issues but its not that bad, but still irritating. Turning openGL off COMPLETELY though and there is no brush lag or anything whatsoever.....photoshop is just so much faster when its off. The only problem is...with openGL off I cant use the rotate canvas option...which isnt a dealbreaker but still..... According to my specs...openGL on shouldnt be giving me the slow performance its giving me. When I reset Photoshop to its factory settings its on by default, also. Here are my specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Intel Core i7 2600 3.40 ghz 16 GB RAM WD Green 1.5 TB WD Black 1TB Seagate Barracuda 1TB Asus 7870 ghz edition GPU Corsair CX 750M PSU Any ideas or suggestions? Should openGL be giving me performance issues with my rig? I also posted this in /g/ because I wasnt sure which would be the more appropriate board.

So most of you are probably familiar with Sycra, kickass nice guy, good teacher, sounds like spiderman, racist accents, needs to draw more in his live streams. That guy. Can we discuss his new style? He's said that as recently as the last month that hes finally happy with his artwork, and has seemingly decided to work in a very stylised way as opposed to his usual more concept-artish work. What does IC think? Is this a good direction to go in or would this be a bad move

Need weird internet related stories for my art

So i have been working on illustrating weird stories related to the internet wether it's trough piracy or just a video blown out of proportion (steve mann, toaster steve, etc..). Please help me find some other weird stories i could use to represent the internet and it's hidden insanity that would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone wanna do a small commission for me? I need a drawing done of a weapon for my D&D campaign. I make custom vinyl decals so whoever comes though I'll send some decals off to. I'll make anything you want. So what I need is a silver hand crossbow with a beholder theme. I was imagining that the front of the crossbow would be in the shape of a beholder and the bolt would fire out through it's eye. The bow part would be a tangle of eye stalks branching off the beholder, but it would still have a few loose ones as well. Along the side is engraved the words "The Eye of Orta" in storm giant, so just make up your own letters I suppose. I'm willing to take your own version of the weapon as well. But the important part is that the beholder has the specific features of a pearl in place of a missing eye and a gold tooth. Again I'll make any kind of vinyl decal you want in exchange for this, but I can't make anything bigger than about 6x15.

Here's the deal. I used to be into sculpting when I was a kid, and now want to get back into it. I remember having to make sure the creation was hollow, how you had to use some kind of scratching tool and "Mud" to attach pieces to the creation, how you had to wait for it to dry to paint it, how you had to coat it in "Glaze" after the paint dried, and how the teacher would put it in this special oven, and have it come out all smooth and shit to were you can eat/drink out of it. So here's the deal, I have no idea what kinda stuff I'm supposed to get. I've been doing a bit of research and found that there's some kind of clay called "Oven Bake Clay" that you can just toss into your oven when you're finished sculpting instead of having to use one of those specially designed ones made for stuff like this. For this "Oven Bake Clay", do you have to apply glaze to make it into something you can eat/drink out of? What're some things that I'd need to get fully established? Also, can you paint on this stuff without it messing up after baking?

I'm a perv and I want to use my artistic skills to do some kind of erotic visual novel. I'll do it either way but I'm wondering of there's a way to sell the novel once it's finished online. Any ideas?

pls rate. I try to follow all the drawing rules I'm aware of. I think my drawings improve 1000% if I do that, but now It takes me 3 hours to do a drawing instead of 30 minutes. Is just hard, bro. :/ BTW I would like to ask this: Should I always use reference? As you can see I prefer to work from imagination. :/
