I am having a major headache when it comes to drawing the face/head of a person, the shading is also what is killing me. Aside from loomis/proko/vilppu. Do you guys have any suggestions that will potentially make this shit easier to do?

I have shading pencils, and I have q-tips to blend/etc. But I just have like, no idea what I am doing really.

I'm getting the whole "drawing in 3D space" thing down pretty well.

Get into oils, and never look back.

Use them in tandem with charcoal if you like. There are good sellers on eBay based in the UK.

With oils, you can blend with linseed, and you don't have to do it with a pinprick lead. Buy comic-size bristol paper so you can do studies.
