I would greatly appreciate your help in this matter. I've been wanting to get more into vocaloid songs because they cross so many genres and want to understand more of the fanart out there, but I've run into two problems.
The first problem is the main reason I made this thread. What inspired this desire was a song I only partially remember, having heard it several years ago. It was a Hatsune Miku pop-punk kind of song, and I remember only two notes from the chorus and six from the bridge. I also remember snippets of the video -- a non-sexual, naked, and annoyed-looking miku holding up food in a small apartment while singing "there's nothing to eat"; an amp exploding in fury from miku's guitar playing; an image of a ball rolling -- and a few lines like "there's nothing to do" and "so what" or maybe "who care's," which itself was repeated often suring the song. I'm sorry, but I only remember the English translations and a likely radically incorrect corruption of Japanese because I do not speak that language. With this information I have been searching for hours through google and youtube and run into many dead ends. I hope that someone on this board can help me find this song, to satisfy the half-remembered earworm and inspire me towards more music.
The other problem I'm having is the massive volume of content produced for vocaloid voices. There must be millions of songs, and I know I will never be able to catch up entirely. I like at least one song in every single genre, so finding things I could like among it isn't exactly the problem. It's more that I don't even know where to begin, or how I could find the best content possible in such a large selection and made by those with so many varying skill levels. So what I request is for /jp/ posters, who I would guess are very knowledgeable about this sort of thing, to recommend to me their favorite songs and favorite voices. Especially those that "fly under the radar," maybe. I think it would be a fun discussion.
