The main reason why anime is and will always be infinitely superior to Visual novels is because Visual Novel always state their motivations in dry, lifeless manners with inners monologues instead of leaving it up to the reader to think for once. That stuff is abhorrent.
There is no art in that, there's no joy, no feels.
And what is worst, the main characters all act so very stereotypical. It's always the same faces, same reactions, same hairflips (what's up with that?).
It seems to me like this is the normal? "cool-guy" personality in Japan.
I can't stand to see a silent-but-cool-guy who the girl always falls in love with and who is superior to everyone in everything..
This is just my opinion though, don't be mad.
