i guess i will ask one more time, guys does every heroine has a good ending in this game? it seems like theme is kinda dark so i though asking before playing would have better, just yes or no x character dont have a good ending would be enough.btw with good ending i mean future with main protag,if both of them alive and they are not separated like "im going my world bye" it count as a good ending i guess.

Regarding the extra after finishing all routes:

What the fuck, does this mean it's canonical that Reika gets a bad ending after putting her up as the main heroine throughout the AkaGoei series?

If so, that's a pretty damn cruel thing to do to fans of the series, no good ending for you ;_;

An easy way to check if a game has depressing endings:
Go to EGS and look at the POV/tags, specifically under the ?? category. If it has the ? tag then it probably has some bad ends. In this case, for your game, it has the ??? tag and not the ? tag so I doubt there's any sad endings.

I really need to get back to finishing my re-read of Celenaria (preferably in time for Grisaia translation release). I re-read the other two FVRs after Ixrec released the new patches and was probably 3/4 done with Celenaria, but I haven't touched it again since I went back to reading the Wheel of Time.

Now that Aroduc is translating Seinarukana, I should actually be able to read it in English finally, then I can follow that up by reading the untranslated fandisc. I was almost tempted to just read Seinarukana in Japanese but I really don't like wasting my time on stuff that I have hope of getting translated eventually.

If I ever have time for it, I've been tempted to read Angel Breath ever since playing the two Duel Savior fandiscs, just because they made me so curious what the hell the deal is with Crimea and Neneko. It doesn't hurt that Neneko is voiced by Kawashima Rino and the art looks better than lots of Giga's other VNs

The original version of Aselia came out I think right before Hitomaru's art started to significantly improve. Barbaroi came out the next year and looks a lot better, then 2-3 years after that the new Aselia content for the PS2 port, the fandiscs, and Seinarukana.

Honestly there's so much variation in the art in the final version that it's made me uncertain if Hitomaru did everything or if someone else did some of the CGs

Why no one has played this yet? i have been playing about 7-8 hours and at least the part i have played is absolutely better than Reminiscence or other games which released this month ( except Chusingura, didnt played that one yet). First of all have a pretty good ost set, most likely best in first 2013 half.Mystery or characters also pretty good, the "Lunchtime" or "Attacking shadows" pretty interesting at least. At first i thought its something like a classic moege with different world characters but it turned out a soft survivor game with good development, specially the point where every character trust other one little by little, not like classic games which happens in first 10 min.But i still need an answer if main protag and heroine ends up together in ending or goes different world in the end.If there is someone who finished at least one ending in this game, please answer me.

I haven't tried Tsukiakari yet and I'm still halfway into Chusingura but the most surprisingly good eroge of recent memory has to be ????????????.
It takes a pretty standard setup and develops it in a very unusual way without ever leaving its premise, the writer showed the mechanic of the usual romance route in a more meta sense than usual, add to that some pretty good writing and pacing.
I'm not finished with it either but it's pretty engaging to read, my main complain so far are that the routes are on the short side but Unmei Yohou has a G-senjou like progression so most of the meat is in the main route.

Chusingura will probably end up there too if it the last part can delivers, chapter 2 was pretty good and it looks like the game will go full chuuni now.
If only the fights were narrated, I really can't get excited just by seeing slashes and hearing clangs even if the production values and voice acting are excellent.

Picked this up as a filler but I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought. It's basically SCP Foundation: The Fluffy Eroge Version.

I'm a bit confused by how this is supposed to play out. Checking a few walkthroughs they all seem to put Neko and Tsubaki's routes first but some suggest getting the "best ranked" Ushio ending right after those (SSS) or vice versa (from E to SSS). Played without cheating at first but seeing I somehow managed to miss the whole branching choice into Neko's route I'm considering loading and wrapping it up first.

I presume saving SSS for last would serve as a proper finale and continuation to the sequel? I don't want to fuck myself over and skip half the game by finishing the "true" route first.

Different strokes, I guess. I found Milk unbearably annoying, and Kurumi's personality felt rather forced and awkward. I'm not a fan of onee-san types, which just left me with Mei, who is cute enough but not particularly interesting.

I'm highly disappointed at the dearth of proper mahou shoujo antics as far as I've read. I guess if you're only in it for the costumes and transformation sequences it's fine.

The whole game just feels very lazily done.

Yeah, finished Chusingura.
Wasn't bad but it's definitely not a 90 something eroge for me.
Production values were nice and the all dialogues almost no narration made for a pretty anime-like experience similar to Majikoi.
I usually like period drama with samurai doing samurai things and political intrigues but I can't say I was really interested in the subject matter of Chusingura and being a loop game it ended tiring me quite a bit. The end of chapter 3/beginning of chapter 4 had some pretty exciting development which could have elevated the plot but unfortunately the scenario ends up pretty simple and straightforward, even the final boss ends up being standard anime stuff, chapter 2 ended up being the best chapter for me.
Since the fights almost have no narration I couldn't really get into them, the last fight has some nice CGs usage though even if it was pretty generic.

I'll say one thing though, it works pretty well as a moege, the art is a bit doujin like but the character design manage to be both cute and sexy, I especially liked Sayo, Kazuemon and Magodayuu. Well the cast is so large you are bound to like some characters even if a bunch end up being pretty forgettable.
So yeah, it's a good 8/10, mileage may vary of course

Finished the first Ley Line.
Not a bad read. The last few twists actually caught me a bit off guard, maybe because everything else before them was so clearly spelt out I was expecting it to follow the same obvious formula.

The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was that there were no proper heroine routes, only very short branches leading up to a quick confession, bit of comedy, then H scene and no credits. You can actually get through the game without seeing any sex, and apart from the main heroine's optional "route" in the epilogue I felt they broke the flow of the main story. Most likely saving the proper romantic developments for later.

Don't really have anything urgent in my backlog so I guess I'll be firing up the second game next.

The only thing I remember from that horrifyingly bad Phantom of Inferno DVD localization I read years ago is that you need to use Media Player Classic with some codec from PowerDVD trial version.

Google search turned up with this
http://imaginedpoetry.blogspot.fi/2009/12/running-phantom-of-inferno-in-mpc.html?zx=d62d06bc5af316e1
I think it's the same method I used.

Why would you even do something like that? Most of the people on VNDB rate something based on art, so rating it that high is fucking ridiculous.
This has to be some sort of sick joke.

do you really need a point system? just look some review sites or continue to read this thread, you should able to see which games stand out, which game better than average or which one is kusoge. for example >>11029611 gave pretty good explanation for game and there was many post like that when game released, its just now since most of us already played it no one bothers saying about it. well if you still want to continue trusting egs you are free to do, but as i said its pretty meanless.

No, that's not what it means at all. All that it means is that people on EGS liked it a lot. Finished it today and had more fun with it than half of the games that are in the 90s on that site, must be mindblowing to you, random anon, who is somehow an objective authority on this shit.

Anyway, now I'm in the mood for some more ye olde Japan eroge but this is somehow a pretty rare setting outside of nukige.

making a game "best of year" with egs score is pretty same logic with making it "best 30 of all year" with egs score.i just spoke with that anon's logic for show him its wrong to trust it. as i said i dont really care which games in top 20 at egs,may it be muvluv or da capo i dont give any shit about them, but that game doesnt even got top 20 in my mind, and there must be some other games which i havent played yet and better than it.in short everyone has its own tastes, but i dont think there is many people who will count it in best 20.
