I'm on the east coast. If we start to flood, I'm going to go up into the mountains, there's a few old concrete pillboxes up there from the 40s, I'll hide out up there until the storm blows over
Body Armor Thread. Do I need it?

All right /kommandos, I need your collective wisdom. I've been working on my vehicle mounted bug out set up for the happening (to satisfy my relentless paranoia) and I think I have everything together but I am still thinking about body armor.
I look at it like this: If I am bugging out on foot indefinitely, body armor is too heavy for what it does. But I'm talking about if I can bug out in my vehicle, I might as well have a heavy armor vest for skirmishes outside the vehicle that might occur while searching houses or approaching an unknown settlement.
So here is what I am asking:
Would a body armor vest equipped to carry a few pmags and house my tertiary arm for volatile situations/hostile zones be a good investment?
If so, what kind of armor do you guys suggest?
Please share your armor/vest setups so I can get a look at whatcha got.
Also, pic related. It’s my current load out for SHTF.
