California Gun Owners?

88 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Anyone here a gun owner in California? I Just have a few questions about the gun laws here, I've lived here since i was about 4 and always heard from my Father who was in the navy how much of a bitch it is to own in gun in this state. Me being 18 want to buy my first gun so I can evolve from airshit fag to something more proper. So after I consulted Google and did some gun research i'm still quite confused on the laws here in cali. I have the basic's down such as DROS and background checks and such and our assault rifles ban, but more specifically I want to hear someones experience with getting a weapon. So tell me your experience buying a weapon: the backgrounds checks, the waiting period, and what weapon did you buy. Also, Do you HAVE to have a California ID/license to buy a gun here? Because I still have my military ID and am unlicensed.

Now I've read a bit about handgun wound ballistics and the consensus of doctors in the field is that the temporary cavity does jack shit when dealing with normal service calibers and the bullet has to actually hit an organ to do damage to it, but what about intermediate rifle rounds? Does the temporary cavity have a noticeable effect on the size of the wound with intermediate rifle rounds that just tumble and don't fragment (such as 5.45x39mm and 7.62x39mm) or does the bullet still have to impact an organ to damage it? If it does affect the size of the wound, how much? Is it possible to damage the heart/spine from the bullet traveling near it with an intermediate rifle round?

ITT: we post our operational timepieces. What do you wear? What do you want? What do you lust after? Pic related: my Seiko SKX007 that I got a few days ago. It was running when it came out of the box and has been going strong ever since. If it's lost or gained, I haven't noticed.

Need some advice on a trade

20 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Hey fellow /k/omrades. I've come to you seeking advice in a potential trade I'm facing. I have a SPAS-12 with a fixed stock (not the folding 'combat stock') and, to be honest, I don't want it. I'm not a fan of pump or semi auto shotguns, I prefer O/U. Call me a fudd if you want, but that's just the way I am. So I've been trying to sell it on Armslist for $1300 for a while now, not many bites though. Now this guy is offering me a built AR in 6.8SPC + $300 in cash. Listed below are the parts in the rifle and what he paid for them (I checked the prices against today and it all checks out so I don't think he's inflating numbers) 1) Aero Precision lower - $130 2) Stag 16" 6.8spc M4 barrel - $196 3) 15" free float handguard - $97 4) palmetto state stripped upper $107 5) Stag lower parts kit - $73 6) Magpul FDE moe stock & grip - $87 7) Stag 6.8spc bolt carrier - $142 8) Stag 10 round mag - $37 9) Stag 6.8spc muzzle brake - $32 10) palmetto buffer assembly - $50 11) stag upper assembly - $26 12) palmetto charging handle - $30 13) Midwest industries free float handguard cover $23 Pic related is the 6.8spc AR Should I do it? Is this a good trade in my favor?

I am so fucking tried of this fucking gun falling apart, now that 22lr. is more abundant and I finally get to shoot it the fucker started stripped screws on me. Now only that but the big ass brick bolt thing is wearing down the aluminium receiver. I called up Ruger and they basically told me that the 10/22 isn't a gun designed to last and that I am shit out of luck. The most fucked up part is I was thinking of investing in a bullbarrel because the barrel that came with it is shit and accuracy turned into crap after only 150 rounds. However I think I am just done with this Ruger. I am thinking of putting the 10/22 up for a cheap sale for like $75 and allow myself to get raped into getting a CZ455 $300. I shot my slavshit loving friend's CZ455 and I fucking loved it, the trigger is fucking beautiful. The walnut stock is fucking to die for and its steel construction made the gun feel like I can pass it down to my grandkids. So what does /k/ think about the CZ455 should I keep the 10/22 and put some money into fixing it and ricing it up or just drop $300 for a new 22lr? I know you guys seem to have some sort of hating spree but that's usually for their pistols which might/might not have QC issues atm.

I've come up with a calculation, /k/... >Manpower of the JSDF: ~311.100 men (reservists taken into account) >Manpower of the PLA: ~4.585.000 men (reservists + armed police taken into account) Dividing the number of personnel of the PLA with the number of the JSDF, we get: >4.585.000 / 311.100 = ~14,74 Which means on every Japanese soldier, there would come 14 to 15 Chinese soldiers. >mfw gang rape with at least 14 soldiers is guaranteed on Japanese premises for every Japanese soldier >mfw it's their ultimate rape dream

Artists needed

The Crimson Caravan opens back up on Sunday at noon and we need a new logo for nuggetfest.com/store. The current logo was a nice tribute to the Fallout Lore but is not aesthetically pleasing. We're calling on /k/'s graphic designers, artists and drawfags to create a new design for us. Also general /k/ image thread.
