>China will hold its first military parade to commemorate World War II this year and will invite world leaders to the event to mark the 70th anniversary of Japan’s defeat, Hong Kong’s Wenweipo newspaper reported Friday.
>It’s the first time the Chinese government has invited foreign leaders to a military parade, the newspaper reported, citing comments by Fu Zhenghua, China’s vice minister of public security and head of the Beijing Public Security Bureau, at a meeting on Jan. 22.
>China previously has only held the parades, which display soldiers and military hardware such as tanks, missiles and fighter jets flying overhead, to celebrate its National Day. In the most recent one, in 2009 to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Communist state, more than 10,000 troops marched in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square.
>“This parade would be the first of its kind and shows the importance of the remembrance of World War II,” Lian Degui, deputy director of the Japanese Studies Center at Shanghai Institutes for International Studies. “More remembrance events will be held this year.”
>The event risks further straining relations between China and Japan, which invaded the country in 1937 unleashing a conflict that killed millions of Chinese before Japan’s defeat in 1945. President Xi Jinping has called on Japan to do more to atone for its role in the war, with China stepping up commemorations of Japanese aggression. Xi led a ceremony in December to remember the victims of the Nanjing massacre, a divisive issue between the two countries.
J-20s, UAVs, Type-99A2s and exoskeleton soldiers with OICWs taking part in the parade almost confirmed.

What is Faded Meadows?
>A story heavily inspired by STALKER with /k/ easter eggs and influence, in a post apocalyptic world (brand new synopsis for people familiar with this story.)
Where can I see it?
>It will be a web series, and the more raw version will be uploaded to our website when it is finished, but more censored versions will be upladed to our YouTube channel (Profundus Piktures) We're trying to make this as realistic as possible, but feel YouTube wouldn't enjoy that as much as we do.
>Why the fuck are you posting this thread?
Because on January 20th last year, we got so much support from /k/ I sold all my shit, bought a camera, and decided this was what we were going to do with our lives, every weekend since then...
>Since it's our (a little over) one year anniversary we have some big news.
-I've been in contact with MoozE, who did the music for STALKER, and he's granting us permission to use some of the tracks that didn't make it into the game, should have a track list soon.
-About 4 hours ago we finished writing on the 12th and final episode of the first season. Once we revise and finish up fine-tuning the details in the coming weeks, we will be gather the remaining equipment, camera's, and a few more actors needed to make this a reality.
-We've been writing with an accomplished writer who wishes to remain unnamed at the moment.
-There will be qt oper8r grills. (legit though, as to not ruin the entire series and realism aspect.)
-I'm sure there's a ton of shit I'm forgetting, forgive me I've been up since 3am.

Some of you may remember seeing these threads over the last few years. Well, Rumsod came back from his rum&coke fueled hooker binge he started in September and gave the game a total reset this morning, which was needed after the flaming pile of shit that the last installment turned into.
For those that dont know, Blocgame.com is a shitty, autistic, geopolitical econ sim that a few boards from here and a few other sites bother to play every time it comes back.
The game is terrible. Its coded by a mediocre admin who cant handle us. You havnt known autism until you have played this game... BUT... playing with komades is fun as hell.
We have a skype and irc group, and just shoot the shit 90% of the time in our chats. The RP can be both fun and fucking retarded, but who cares. All thats left of INNAWDS is about a dozen of us, pretty much the old guard at this point.
Come join and shoot the shit with us if you give a shit. It makes for a good time, a few of us have become genuine friends over the years.

> What's this thread about?
As usual this thread is for the discussion and pics of tracked and wheeled AFVs of all kinds from MBTs to supertanks to self propelled AA guns. Please keep it civil and cite sources for statistics.
When the British army requested an armoured reconnaissance vehicle during the late sixties, Alvis was there to meet that requirement with its CVR(T) (Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance) (Tracked) design, the FV101 Scorpion. The Scorpion occupied a role similar to that of the M551 Sheridan and PT-76. Air portable, lightly armoured with good power to weight and low ground pressure as well, it was an exceptionally rugged tank, able to traverse a variety of terrain types. The Scorpion, however, did not possess much of an anti armour ability, being able to fire HESH, HE, smoke and canister rounds. The tank was part of the wider CVR(T) family of fighting vehicles with numerous variants based on the framework of the original Scorpion be it APCs, IFVs, command and auxiliary types. With over 3000 produced, the Scorpion proved to be a success on both the domestic and export markets, a number of variants appearing after the initial production run. The Scorpion 90 was an upgunned model with the Cockerill Mk 3 M-A1 90 mm intended for overseas markets. Following the retirement of the Scorpion from the British army in 1995, the chassis was mated with the Fox ARV turret to form a batch of Sabre CVR(T)s, a similar alternative to the FV107 Scimitar (1971), itself identical to the FV101 save the fixture of a 30 mm L21 Rarden in place of a 76 mm main gun. Like another certain prolific British AFV, the Scorpion also holds a world record, one for the fastest tank, a blistering 82.23 km/hr recorded on the test track, as verified by Guinness.
