The last thread was defrocked Hard Croissants Edition > What's this thread about? As usual this thread is for the discussion and pics of tracked and wheeled AFVs of all kinds from MBTs to supertanks to self propelled AA guns. Please keep it civil and cite sources for statistics. Its initial proposal dating from 1918, the development history of the Char is long and distinguished, and took more than a few cues from the “landships” that had characterised mechanised conflict in WWI. Preparatory work began in 1921, but a working prototype was not to be found until 1932, following a flurry of last minute tweaks improving mobility and armour. The B1 then came into service in 1935, weighing 31 tonnes, carrying four crew, a turreted 37 mm and a stubby hull mounted 75 mm howitzer. With very thick armour (14-60 mm), the six cylinder engine which powered it offered only 270hp and thus a sluggish top speed of 17.5 mph. A revised model, the Char B1bis weighing an extra tonne and with both an upgraded 47 mm gun and a new powerpack giving 300hp, vastly improved cross country performance. A little known third version of the Char B also existed, known as the Char B1ter, with extra hull gun traverse and a 350hp engine. However, only five would be completed. Nevertheless, 300-320 Char Bs of all descriptions would be in service with the French Army by 1941. The Char B would distinguish itself as a superlative tank in 1940; nigh on impenetrable from the front by any Wehrmacht tank - or AT gun for that matter - on that front, with only large bore AA guns showing effectiveness against the Char B. At the battle of Arras in 1940, a lone Char B1 allegedly ambushed a column of PzKpfW III/IVs destroying thirteen in the process for no damage. A shame then, that French capitulation doomed these formidable tanks to irrelevance. > Gun Rifled 75 mm ABS 35 howitzer + 47 mm SA34/35 > Dimensions (l w h) 6.37 x 2.46 x 2.79 m > Weight 32 tonnes > Engine 300hp petrol > Speed 28 km/h

/k/, here is your mission: You must create an air force, but you may only choose 5 planes. Further, you can only choose a plane from a country once. So if you choose an F-22, you can't take any other American planes. I'll go with: Air superiority: F-22 Carrier multirole: Eurofighter Ground attack: Su-25 Light fighter: Gripen AWACS: Japanese Boeing E-767

Aussie here /k/k, after thinking on it I decided I want to get into firearms and thought this would be the place to ask. I'm in QLD and was wondering what I should expect/what hoops I need to jump through to get a licence and own a firearm. I'm looking at shooting black powder if that means anything. Any advice would be appreciated guys, cheers. (pic related, the gun i have dreams about owning.)

>fought against 80% of Germany's Military >inflicted 4 million of the 4 and a half milion German military deaths Seems to me they had the Krauts on the ropes all by themselves (not to mention that they already defeated Romania, Finland, and Hungary all by themselves anyways)

>The Ace was played by a former SAS soldier - Jon Iles. Jon was originally hired as part of the security crew, but his mannerisms were noticed by the movie makers and he was given a speaking role. After shooting the scenes, Jon would still perform his duty, patrolling the set as the head of security. Fucking based

Hey /k/ im wondering what a glock 17 magazine weighs loaded and unloaded. the glock website says the gun weighs 710g unloaded but i dont know if thats with the mag inside unloaded or not. im looking into conceal carry options and plan to use a 5.11 holster shirt. I want to balance out the weight on both sides as best as possible. Im thinking 2 loaded mags in kydex will match the gun pretty well IF its unloaded. I doubt it matters that much, the shirt has pretty good weight distribution I just want the perfect setup. >deep cover there i said it Any opinions?

Let's get a /thg/ thread going >M4 Medium >Not probably the best tank late in the war with its 76mm armed variants And people wonder why the M4 chassis was used successfully decades after the war? Probably the most underrated tank in history, especially when you consider all the projects and variants based on its chassis. It's damn sexy too, to me.
