You guys know anyone who got caught lying at/after MEPS? I've read very conflicting things bout it, some people have said they got through fine denying their shit, others have said guys get kicked out several months into boot camp.

How does Air Force TACP compare to just being regular infantry in the Army? My recruiter said my PT scores were good enough for me to get through TACP school and is trying to get me to sign for it.

So let's assume SHTF in all of North America. What firearms should I prioritize in owning, being a Canadian, while still being within the law? (until then, of course) I picked up pic related with four 5/30 round mags, and the pin can be easily popped out if SHTF. I also picked up a crate (1440) of 7.62x39 for it. We can't own AK47's up here. Are there any other 7.62x39mm semiautos that you would deem more reliable that are legal to own here now? What else would you *definitely* own if you were a Canuckistanian sitting under the fan? Let's assume that I want to be prepared for anything.

Alright, /k/. barelygunz here, planning on buying my first nugget as soon as I find one in the area. Might even be today. I've seen and studied this guide but I could use some clarification. Namely: Should I check both ends of the bore with my light? Which is more important? I was taught never to ever ever point a gun at someone or yourself, even if it is safed and unloaded, so to be honest I'm almost hesitant to look down the barrel. How much 'crispness' should I be looking for? What are common prices for a Nagant with a good bore? I've seen everything from $120 to just under 1000. Where exactly can I find the serial numbers on each part? And is there anything else not on this guide I should be wary of? Things to keep in mind? Thanks /k/.

when they sat "French Army in Mali" do they really mean "French Foreign Legion in Mali"? Or is the standard French Army there also?

/k/omrades, I am split between two items of clothing. Either I buy a Czech M85 Parka, brand new, unissued, with liner and hood etc. or I buy a (I think new) Bulgarian Army greatcoat for about £5 more. I was set on the parka but the greatcoat looks good also. Help me decide, /k/. The reason I am asking you fellows is because /fa/ doesn't actually have any idea of fashion, unlike /k/.

Best hunting cartridge = best round for a new military combat rifle? >assume any round can be made into the 'new 5.56'. What's the best hunting round for a human sized game?

In the most strident warning over gun control to President Obama yet, the Utah Sheriffs' Association is pledging to go to war over any administration plan to take guns away, even if it means losing their lives. Calling the Second Amendment a sacred right of citizens to protect themselves from "tyrannical subjugation," the association state elected sheriffs said in a new letter, "we are prepared to trade our lives for the preservation of its traditional interpretation."

So /k/. I have a thing for cowboy guns, milsurp, blackpowder, and pretty much everything with a history to it. I am also looking to get my first guns. I want >.22lr rifle >shotgun for grouse, pheasant, and clay pigeons >rifle for semi long range shooting and taking deer I'm currently looking at a Henry (plain non golden boy model) for my .22 and a k31 for my rifle. Not sure on a shotgun, but I've seen some Stoegers for cheap. I'd also like >black powder rifle (flintlock vs cap) >black powder revolver >black powder shotgun >about to watch pic related >that obvious gay man love from prince to his boss >that feel when he wasn't a pussy because of it I'd make sweet manlove with him. Full homo

in light of the current threats to gun ownership in the US, have a letter i'm writing to my authority on gun ownership: the Belgian minister of sports. This letter is a reaction to a discussion between some socialist (Roegiers) and the minister of sports (Muyters). here's that discussion after google translate: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=nl&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vlaamsparlement.be%2FProteus5%2FshowVIVerslag.action%3Fid%3D667979 Basically this Roegiers guy is using the same tactics US anti-gunners use: >demonize guns by calling them evil names ("rambo weapons" instead of "assault weapons" in this case) >using shooting sprees to promote stricter gun laws >claiming semi-autos can be easily converted to fully auto Full auto is banned entirely in Belgium for civilians btw. The minister for sports (Muyters) seems like a level-headed guy, but he is kind of leaning towards banning "rambo weapons". That's where my letter comes in. Use it whichever way you like, criticism welcome

Sup /k/, I'm in a bit of a predicament, and I like a bit of advice: I'll be 19 in just a few weeks and I'm looking at about a 99% chance oh enlisting. The 1% is if I find a better job (not really even looking) or if I get more hours at my current job; a plumbing supply store (which I hate). I'm mostly interested in the Air Force, not because it the most "cozy" but for easier transition to civilian life afterward. My brother, a former marine, told me this would be the best thing I've ever done for my life. My brother-in-law, former Army, agreed but also said he would go back to the army any day if he could. I've had a meeting with an Army recruiter and actually didn't get lied to or sweet-talked, my brother-in-law came along with to make sure. Now tomorrow, I've got a meeting with an Air Force recruiter but I've done my research, so I pretty much know what to expect. So what I'd like to know is: >thoughts >opinions >experiences >advice >which would you choose and why? Also, Navy and Marines are out of the question for my own personal reasons, so don't bother. Last side not, I took a practice ASVAB and scored a 63, I've been reed up on some material to get my score a little higher so I can have better job opportunities.

/k/, in a SHTF situation would you trust using a fully automatic .22LR rifle of your choice against humans? What adjustments to your tactics would you use? Is it an effective sidearm/SMG replacement? Discuss.

‘‘America is the global tiger and Japan is Asia’s wolf and both are now madly biting China,’’ Colonel Liu said. ‘‘Of all the animals, Chinese people hate the wolf the most.’’ ‘‘If this Japanese wolf again attacks America’s Pearl Harbour or Australia’s Darwin, how do you know it wouldn’t receive another nuclear bomb?’’ Colonel Liu said. ‘‘The world would hail if Japan receives such a blow. ‘‘Australia should never play the jackal for the tiger or dance with the wolf,’’ he said.‘‘American hegemony is not at its dawn and not at its zenith,’’ Colonel Liu said. ‘‘It is at its sunset and night is coming.’’ Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/world/shun-us-tiger-and-japanese-wolf-chinese-colonel-warns-20130122-2d52d.html#ixzz2IhEwa5Cc

Ok, so I have a bit of spare money at the moment, and I'm divided as to what I should do. My choices are as follows. 1. Buy auto nugget (have lots of nugget food already) 2. Convert bubbad Lee Enfield to .45ACP 3. Buy extra 5.56 and more mags for my AR Pic not really related
