This is it /k/, this is the year that set everything in motion. This is the year of massacres and martyrs, this is the year that we are all demonized and shunned by the media, the government, and society, this is the year when US citizens are going to lose the rights that they held for hundreds of years, this is the year that the government's grip over the public grows stronger, this is the year when the nanny-state takes hold. When the policies of the bureaucrats, the elite, and the ignorant creep in and grapple down the rest of the nation. And the worst part is that they are the heroes in the eyes of the public, and we the villains, their scheming and dealing has done wonders for them and the public will forever remain ignorant of these plots. The state will not turn on its citizens, it will turn on a few crazed terrorists and miscreants who do not belong in the society it controls. They will always be the saviors, and everyone will follow them. There will not be any popular resistance, only the criminal acts of the extremists and insane. This has been the work and planning of hundreds of influential people over decades, they are under control of the nation in every way. They easily twist and manipulate the opinions of the public through the media and through the educational system that they control. They distract people from the real threats to their ways of life with overblown and biased "news", bringing up non-existent issues, celebrity tabloids, and so-called social injustices while they cover up the real problems under a blanket of shadow and smoke. Their paradigms are ingrained in society now. And everybody else is just a rabid conspiracy theorist. You cannot fight it, you cannot win. This is the end of America as we know it. Good night.

Need some advise /k/.
I tried posting this earlier, but day/k/are took over so here it is
>be late 2011
>started talking to Marine recruiter
>everything going smoothly for enlistment
>family medical issues come up and I have to leave the state temporarily to see mother in hospital
>nearly summer of 2012
>go back to talk to recruiter and tell him what happened
>get sent to meps
>everything is going good until doctor feels a "growth" in my throat
>get sent to have ultrasound done
>have thyroid nodules
>proceed to go through months of doctor visits
>be December of 2012, nodules are deemed benign by several doctors
>collect paper work stating so and begin waiver process
>recruiter reaches the end of his duty as recruiter and I get set up with new recruiter
>wait 3 months for waiver feedback, got tactically declined because wasn't submitted 30 days after I left meps
>new recruiter basically tells me to GTFO and that he has other applicants that don't need waivers
>Army recruiter says he can get me in no problem
What should I do /k/? I've wanted to join the Marines since I was a wee lad, but now that dream got shot down. My father disapproves of joining the Army, but it seems to be my only option right now. Should I try and talk to a different Marine recruiter else where or go with the Army?

Good evenin' /k/
I will soon have access to a CNC machine & people who know how to run it who are more than willing to help me with a project. I want to design & build a pistol, copyright & patent everything I can and then put the plans and directions to make it online. What I'd like from you is some input.
1-Ambidextrous everything (magazine release, safety, slide catch).
2-User adjustable triggers.
3-Square slide vs. rounded.
4-Baretta 92 style slide mounted safety lever that can be reached by the thumb without too much movement from the firing grip.
5- Using the slide catch from a 1911A1 and moving it back to where the thumb can reach it without having to break the firing grip.
6- Using 1911 handgrips (it allows for more user customization).
7- A push-down style magazine release similar to the type on a USP.
8-Having the 9mm version designed to accept Barretta 92 mags, the .40 S&W version designed to accept Glock mags & the .45 designed to accept 1911 magazines.
10-DA/SA but having the slide mounted safety act as the decocking lever.
11-Being able to change out the trigger its-self (say for someone who wants a deep curve or someone that just wants a flat bar for some stupid reason).
The idea behind the pistol is to make something that's affordable & easy to build, customizable to the shooter, ergonomic, available in the three most common calibers (9mm, .40 S&W & .45), able to be built in multiple sizes (full, standard, compact, sub-compact), accurate but most of all reliable as all fuck.
I don't want this to turn into a go out & buy a -----insert brand here---- thread, but legitimately want to design and build this then release it to the world. Think of it as a plan for quality firearm proliferation.
