So I'm in debate club at college, and we're preparing to to debate the following:
>This house would remove the second amendment
Luckily, we got to be against the proposal, meaning we were defending the second amendment
There's this fucking libertarian kid, and he's hilarious
>Drug rug backpack
>of course, white male
>Business major (said he wasn't smart enough for engineering)
>Gym bro that uses creatine powder
>Takes a fucking joint out of his multivitamin bottle
>Keeps trying to turn the conversation and discussion to libertarianism
>"If everybody just could do what they wanted, all societal problems would disappear"
>"Life is equivalent to property"
>"Everything always comes down to money"
>"Muh rational egoism"
>"I have no doubt that the judges are statists"
>Everybody laughs at him every time he says something stupidly libertarian
>Actually tries to use Cartesian philosophy
Fucking libertarians, man, keep drinking the coolaid, idiots.
From nogunz to hazgunz.

Not sure if anyone has seen my last post, in which I detailed my escapades at the gun range; if not, then TLDR is, I got my FOID, went to the range found out I love shooting, resolved to go again.
I went again today; and tried out some 9mm pistols. I could only afford 2 boxes of 9mm and 2 rentals, so today I'll discuss the CZ-SP01, and the Beretta 92FS.
So, first off, I read, and re-read the sticky, as well as some advice you guys gave me; my groupings are significantly tighter now.
I fired both guns, and I have to say, I love them both; the Beretta's decocker is really intuitive, even for a noguns like me and even though it is huge, it felt really good in my hands and fired really well.
The CZ felt like it fit my one hand better, but in hindsight it was a little tiny in the width for both my hands in the weaver stance.
That said both times my groupings were really tight, all things considered, and both felt like they were working with me, and not against me (Glock, I'm looking at you).
Visually, I actually prefer the CZ over the Beretta; it looks really sharp and clean in a sort of modern, utilitarian way; whereas the Beretta's charm comes from it's statelyness, heft, and plainly put, classic(and rather trademark) lines.
I want to try the CZ-75B and the M&P in 9mm before I commit to any decision, but next month, I'm going to just buy a shitload of .22lr and rent a handful of guns and just spend all the time plinking and putting holes in target to bring up my ability to accurately get a sight picture and reduce any remaining flinch.
Any suggestions for makes and models of pistol for defense and personal enjoyment are appreciated; as well as opinions on any of the abovementioned models, or any that you think stand out from the crowd. I know there are durability tests out there that show how much hell guns can go through and still shoot; I'd love to see what can be scrounged, as well as any additional tips, tricks, or hints on getting tighter groupings.

We're all obviously happy about the outcome of the Senate votes. Gun control, at least right this second, is dead.
But its proponents, and our enemies, are NOT. It's an old statement of wisdom that you don't turn your back on a defeated enemy, especially not RIGHT AFTER you've beaten him, because his lust for vengeance is at its absolute peak.
We are not safe. We are in more danger right now, right this second, legislatively speaking, than we will be in six months or a year or two years.
People, to include some faces on here who I am quite proud to call bros, are slipping into a sense of relief - basking in their immediately victory and counting the battle as won. Our opponents are ALIVE. They are moving, right as I'm typing this, and not PREPARING to lunge at our exposed backs - they are ALREADY AIRBORNE, SWORD IN HAND.
We have not cemented our victory. We have taken the hill, but thus far failed to push beyond it and secure the whole objective. Our asses are currently in the wind, and I'll explain why:

Gear thread? I want to see what kinds of operator gear to get whenever I get a rifle, chest rigs with pistol holsters on them get bonus points, double your points if you provide a good chestrig/backpack combo. Goretex clothing, gloves, boots, shirts, cargo pants etc.
