Alright, /k/omrades. I need your help big time on this one. Just recently, I received a letter from the US Naval Academy stating that I would be appointed if I receive a nomination from my congresswoman or one of my state Senators. I'm feeling pretty ecstatic about this one. I mean, free tuition, I career right when I graduate, what is there not to love? However, I got some friends who are enlisting when they graduate and they're all trying to convince me how I'll become a "ring-knocker" when I graduate.... I feel pretty half hearted on this too. I feel like I'm kind of ditching my friends to go become a "desk jockey". At this point, I'm going to take the appointment. However, what's /k/'s view on enlisting in the armed service instead of becoming an officer?
