/k/, I'm kinda freaking out right now. Just got back from a range 30 minutes ago, it was my first time.

I was listening to music on the way back and it sounded kind of wonky, so I thought it might be my phone or headphones. Now that I've got home and played it on my computer my ears aren't working properly. I can still hear, just some sounds are really really off. I was wearing ear protection at the range. Should I be concerned or is this normal?

Your hearing should be back to normal in a day.

Also get better hearing protection.

The range had headphones but I didn't think they were that good. My friends pair that he brought were definitely better.

Wonky as in the pitch was different. Some songs sounded terrible, others less so. Some normal. Lyrics didn't seem off. I sang a verse or two and it sounded a bit odd.

Loud noise can dislodge earwax, which blocks your canal, go to a drug store and get one of those earwax loosening kits, should be fine

Double up next time too

Don't listen to these guys, doubling up is a meme.

Just put in some earbuds and listen to music while you shoot.

Ask any veteran or person that has fired guns in the military and they will say they have at least a small bit of hearing loss, I don't think you comprehend how loud a gun is

OP here, It's gotten better a lot faster then I thought it would. IT was so bad that listening to music made me feel sick. Now I just feel queasy a bit.

I've seen a few people with earplugs too, would that be better?
