Better than Bukowski, no doubt.

How to familiarize with logical fallacies?

70 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
I want to be able to call somebody out on a logical fallacy. There are obviously tens if not hundreds of logical fallacies, so can anybody recommend a comprehensive method to learning them, at least the most frequently seen? The most frequently seen likely being informal fallacies. Related question, is there a name for a logical fallacy that serves to engulf the opposing argument into absolutes, such as "___ may be true but it is always true in the case of ______." or "But you can find ____ in everything." or "But ___ always happens when ___ happens."

Once again science, in all of its majesty, has rendered all arts and humanites subjects completely redundant. If Nietzsche, Kant, or Aristotle were alive to see picrelated, they'd kill themselves due to embarrassment and shame.

Sup, /lit/. Let’s name our top ten works of literature and judge each other’s taste. Rules: 1. By our own admission these will only be our top ten favorite to read and not what we consider to be best or most influential in the history of humanity. 2. If you're getting pissed at other peoples shit taste and other plebeian acts, just repeat to yourself "It's just an opinion, I should really just relax.” 3. ??? 4. Profit. I’ll go first.
