Just finished reading this guy and looking for something similar. Wondering if there are there any other writers like Kafka: intelligent, nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humour?

I'm currently at chapter 2, some guy is trying to quit weed. Does it get any better than "420 blaze it" + tennis or is the whole book about that? Is this the reason why it's such a meme?

Not trolling but seriously, has this man single-handedly solved the problems that plagued philosophy for 2000 years in his Moral Landscape? Has anyone been able to disprove any of his arguments yet?

Halfway through Murakami's Norwegian Wood. it's such a drag.Extremely melodramatic and feels like it's trying too hard to be deep and sad, is it worth continuing this book or should i just drop it.

Who is the most morally reprehensible author in your opinion? I'd have almost said de Sade (for poisoning a prostitute and working as a revolutionary judge) but then I remembered there are also those who have killed and enslaved by the thousands. To make it more exciting let only evil deeds count that have been committed before the literary works were finished that you're gonna be referring to.

ITT: we give a tl;dr on any philosopher's position. Anyone who says "but that's impossible for this particular philosopher because his concepts were too profound and his mind too vast" or anything of the like, simply doesn't fully understand his concepts. You have the entirety of the word-limit to use; surely we can get a thread in which various philosopher's positions can be adequately summarized.
