In the days since the start of the New Era we have learned quite a lot from studying the words of our ancestors, tales passed down through the generations since the time of the great fire which consumed all the world. That was eons ago it seems now and the land is green once again, though I can still recall inn the faintest of my memories the sickly red of the trees and flesh hanging of the bones of desperate and deranged animals. That time thankfully remains little more than a memory for me now, and for the youth it seems little more than a scary story to be told around campfires, spooking one another with tales of beasts who walked like men, beasts who could talk our words and whisper into are darkest fantasies as we slipped off to our dark and lonely sleep. I smile as I hear these children’s stories, as I know it was ones I who was in there place telling the same ones myself. Deep in the back of my mind however, in the base of my spine I can feel that creeping sensation. That indescribable, unknowable fear handed down to us from the ancient past as in my heart of hearts I knew that these stories from the Red Years were far more than that…

Any focus tips, or recs? Last book I read was Norwegian Wood about a month ago after almost a 5 year dry spell. I really tried to get into Ulysses but could not understand.
